I will try to keep this spoiler free as I can. Yesterday (Launch day) I beat Fable 2 (If its something you can beat, how about, I got to the credits screen?) It is fair to mention that I have have a dev. build of the game for sometime and that I can play through the first 5 hours in 1 hour now. So a week or so ago I got my retail copy. Baiscaally I knew I could hum through it also. At least the early parts. So with this comes some wisdom about the game that I can share with you to save a lot of time trying to build up XP and Cash. Crucible. Get there ASAP and fight, repeat, repeat, Ta Dah! you are rich and powerful! Play through slowly at first if possible. Use "Raise Dead" and run around as bags of gold (usually 2000) pop every every ten seconds. This makes it really easy to rack up cash. There are 7 levels and a ton of enemies so your XP will also get a nice boost. It should take you a few hours (3 to 7) to get to the Crucible if you stay on the missions. Chop Wood! Between blacksmithing and bartending, as well as captain lumberjack, you should stick with chopping wood. Its not that tough and building the multiplyer can net you 1000s in no time at all. This is a fast way to get the cash for a house unless you search every nook and cranny of the ,map early on. The first time ( I think only time) you get the option to chop is in Oakfield. Should take 1 to 5 hours depending on how you play. I really recommend using "Raise dead" will in combination with a good pistol. Rifles and crossbows shoot way to slow. Boost speed and dextrous styles quickly btw. There are some things you have to aim at directly and at the start you cant aim. Speed helps you reload and shoot much faster. Raise Dead is awesome because it keeps you away from the enemies so that you can use ranged attacks. I really also recommend using the "Gold burden Augment" which gives you 50 gold for every kill you get. There is a stone salesman in the town outside of the large cemetary that sells them. He is at the entrance to down at the ennd of a large stairwell in a small alley.
Westcliff camp. I cant remember everything, but there is some wacky fucking dude there on top of a hill by a wooden crane looking thing. This happens the first time you go there. He asks you for 5000 bucks to develope something. Give it to him if you can. He pays you back 15 grand later. After you give him 5k buy up anything you can in the shitty village. Eveybody there is scum and the investment you made goes to cleaning it up. When you come back later in the game to fight at the crucible the town is booming. In other words, your investment paid off well. Note: The women in this town get turned on by abuse. Its soooo hot! jk Sex.To get sex, have a woman or man follow you. With the person highlighted in white, give them the thumbs up. Then select the bed. Does not work eveytime. Sometimes you have to really charm them. Paying for sex works the same without the charm.
DO NOT EAT FUCKING FOOD! That should be in the manual for this game. I dont care what you are thinking, dont eat or drink shit. Celery and potions, thats more or less it. You will gain a ton of fat if you eat and things become tougher. Just dont eat. There is no bad side effect. Its a bitch to drop the pounds once you have them. Buy the castle. I dont remember the name but its the first one you get a chance to buy. On top of a hill. There is a sleep in the mansion mission and you have to buy it anjyways. That mission is fucking awesome btw. Its the one that Molynuex personally told me to buy because I would enjoy it. I did. Pays out 100k and gives you 100k in swag also. Great for cash boost and XP though its a few hours into the game. The Spire stuff. For me this sucked. Took me completely out of the game. It was like Too Human or something. I didnt get it I didnt care but you have to do it. To build reknown, well... stick to the quests. Its much fatser than walking around town holding up a trophy in the long run. There is a cool trick you can do with paying a lute player to get 100 reknown per person near you but I cant say exactely how I am doing it. It works 1 out of every 4 or 5 times. Oh. By a lute. Worth it and if you hold expressions it can boost how much people like you fast depending on where you are. Gargoyles. Fuck! Pay attention to these things. there are Gargoyle statues all over some very hidden. keep track of them. You have to find them all. Pokemon! You must have your dexterity up to aim freely and shoot them though. There are 50 in game and some really are tough. I think, after you shoot one they detect you by proximity and taunt you. Its a little Scottish guy calling you names basically. Anytime you hear this stop everything and track it down. You might regret later not doing this. Remember to Scare and/or make shopkeepers love you. They will give you up to a 39% discount on that alone. Buying the shop nets the same effect though. Buying shops and houses long term makes a ton of money. but it makes gameplay tougher and more of a grindfest early. Its your choice. If you raise the rent of a house remember it effects your good v evil ratio. Lower rent makes you a nice guy and raising makes you a dick.
If anyone wants some stuff in game, message me on Live Gamertag = Roncore. I'd be more than happy to hook you up to make things easier. Though the grinding isnt bad in the game. How do I feel about the game? I love it. Its also shitty in ways though. Co-op is a fucking train wreck . Plain and simple. But its not a Co-op game to me at all. For the most part, dont even co-op because it will just put a bad taste in your mouth. No camera control and one person not being able to load their profile ruins it completely. Local co-op does allow you to load 2 profiles and even hit start and jump in at any point. But it doesnt split screen so you always have to deal with the camera issues. It never stops sucking. The game needed more time. Its a great game. Solid contender for game of the year. But, it has bugs. For the most part, they do not impede gameplay so they are forgiveable. The collision detection can be a nightmare, the proximity detection fails from time to time. Jumping into water with your dog can be laughable. The dog is cool but can get frustrating because of minor bugs. I personally like the camera and had almost no problems with it. The menu navigation is shit long term. The quick select D-pad is fucking garbage. If you rely on it all the time you will waste tons of potions as it switches from "read this letter" to Use super fucking expensive potion for no reason without warning. One more gripe. Its way to easy to accidentally hit the B button in town and scare the fuck out of everyone. Once you get the control scheme down it is stellar (aside from the D-pad) This is a great game. So dont let my comments cutting into it fool you. It isnt wasnt Molynuex hyped it to be but it is still a top rated game. Tazar said "Molynuex promises a 12 [out of 10] and in reality its an 8.) I would say in terms or "should I own?" this is a high 9. I fucking hate RPG shit. Sorry I do. Oblivion and Morrowind. thats it. JRPG's are hell for me even more so. Fable got me really into the game where I didnt want to stop playing. The game comes down to choice. The ending was really amazing to me. I loved it. I could not decide what I wanted to do. Even though I saw the credits I still had 14 open missions and many more to finish, so Im not nearly done with the game. Its worth noting. I played this game almost non-stop. I actually fell asleep playing it last night live on my Ron Workmans naked happy funtime hour video chatroom. I seriously fell over and passed out after played probably 14 hours or more straight. Shits like heroin One more thing. The load times can suck. Worth downloading to the hard drive. I did it and it did help out on loads and on noise a ton. This game is pretty intensive on that DVD going round and round. Pre-loading to the hard drive {when it goes public} helps out a lot.

Thanks for all the tips though! I can’t wait to try out the game.
How many wives have you killed Ron?
Hopefully with dlc intact for the collectors edition.
Can I get this on a shirt?
Games sounds ok, but if you can beat it in a single sitting....thats worries the crap out of me.
EEEK!
I need to go back to it.
Also, I'm going to make my guy look like that dude in the pic with the truck in the tree. He's like a super hero or something.
So when is the dtoid orb party?
The one thing I found myself doing more than actually playing, is trying to decide what to do. I found myself running around Bowerstone not able to decide if I should continue the main quest, get a job, buy shit.
And goddamn those Fable 2 Pub Games items sure come in handy when you're just starting out.
Make Spider Pig go..something something..
crazy.
...And you're totally right about the fat. I've barely eaten a thing and am a +5 fat, and it seems way harder to burn off than in the first game.
I must say, I was impressed with the game and I agree, I think it did need a little more time in development. Anyhow, either way I see it, the game is very well done.
Time for me to go back and be super evil, lawl.
