Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
You know my mother's a midget.

I am not saying the game is great, I hated the demo but this "review" fails.
If you can't tell that this game sucks from the demo then you are a failure.
*pours water on the flames*
I was going to say this anyway, but now I have to echo Blindside. This was a terrible video review. Are you honestly saying that you'd rather sit by his side, giving him moral support and waiting for 3 hours for his condition to improve before expecting him to get up and carry on fighting? Perhaps you'd prefer it if you had to call in a team of paramedics to revive him every single time you guys go charging brainlessly into a room full of prepared, armed mercenaries... oh perhaps you'd like a hit-the-button mini game where you remove each and every bullet your self with pliers?
This is just one stupid, flawwed comment in a sea of utter idiocy. I'm not defending the game; I honestly don't care if you hurt the developers' feelings and I see no reason to defend it when they're the ones making the money... It annoys me when people are destructively critical. It's pointless and unentertaining. Next time, make it worth my while to watch this.
As for the game. I thought the demo wasn't too bad. It is generic, and it had it's flaws, but I though the gameplay was surprisingly solid. I played an Xbox conflict game once and that was fucking awful. I went into this one expecting the undoing of mankind, but this is just solid, sub-par, blandness.
Being sacrificed would be a welcome escape from the boredom that suffocates you by visiting that website.
Buy it or don't buy it.
We didn't like it and so we were "destructively critical" of it.
If you like it or think it was "solid" then by all means spend $60 on it, or $5 renting.
It's all fun and games at DarkColossi.com.
Hey bud, it's only $49.99 for both the 360 & PS3 verisons.
Nothing makes us realize how fantastic of a job we're doing then getting flamed by a bunch of angry nerds on Destructoid.
Maybe it'll be wasted on you, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and be cereal for a moment. In the future, I think you should review games more objectively. Criticise them for what they are, not for what you want them to be. If you don't want a game where everything is all brown and faded, then don't play it. Wait for me to release hippy shooter for the next generation of consoles where you lob bouquets of flowers at riot police and give candy love hearts to the police dogs who subsequently die from the toxins and artificial flavours in an unfortunate but emotionally involving plot twist.
Point, review games based on what they are. Other people do it and they do it well. I'm not telling you to be like them because that would undermine my point. Try being a bit more intelligent is what I'm trying to get at here. If I wanted spewing bile and frequent use of the word shit, I would ask average joe chav what he thought.
Plan what you say. It's mind-numbing to hear things equated to shit without any subsequent math. Okay, you've told me that the game is a bit rubbish, but you've done very little to explain why. Isn't that part of why I should listen to your opinion? Because you might actually give me some insight, or make me go "hehe, that's clever, I hadn't thought of it like that"? It doesn't have to be scripted, just give it some individuality.
You don't need to narrate everything that happens in the game. I can see that - that's why it's called a video review. While we're on the topic, don't feel like you need to talk just because the microphone's on. Make sure every word you speak is gold dust; it's not up to us to sift through the shit.
Please, be a bit more humble. Fake arrogance is nice but real arrogance is annoying. And not the good annoying like "I'm going to antagonise Cooper Laurence for being a dick, mwar hwar", it's just off-putting.
One last thing, you might want to think about making your videos more unique. I bet I could look on youtube right now and find a billion video reviews, all more or less identical to this. Why would I watch yours? So far, the only reason is because you have a Destructoid blog. You've got to have some character traits that we can latch onto and pretend to like.
If you don't take my advise, then I won't be disappointed; I'll just have to pick up the slack myself. Good luck, anyway.
On your advice we began to search youtube for other Conflict: Denied Ops video reviews.
We found a bunch of garbage, like this guy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cKvyngT2L8
I'd like to think we are a bit more entertaining.
Keep watching.
Maybe someday you will be pleased.
We make exclusive videos, which deal with videogames.
We honestly are trying to just spread the word, because we feel what we provide is entertaining.
We can handle the heat, trust me.
Were doing this for legitimate reasons.
We love videogames more than you could imagine, and take great pride in it.
No, that video was entertaining. The first 45 seconds were bad, he needs to work on his delivery and it was very hit-and-miss (that is to say you couldn't sponsor it or buy it out without significant improvement), but overall the content was great and there were some raw, messy lulz. It made me laugh out loud a few times, it's something different and unique.
I can understand that you didn't like that - it made me cringe a few times too - but try and see the difference here; what this guy is doing is a lot "braver" that what you're doing. He is going to make a lot of mistakes and get a lot of criticism, but he did make me laugh.
It all makes sense.
If that pathetic video made you "lulz", then no wonder you hate us.
We are the anti-thesis of that lame humor you love.
Go "lulz" elsewhere.
You don't seem to get this. Either you're very slow or your trying to be being post-modern, which is another way of saying pretentious. If you're trying to discredit what I'm saying by some random, arbitrary association, then you can fuck right off because I have no time for idiots like you. I'm making valid critical points about your work and all you can do is define their validity by my other tastes? Twit.
I could describe to you my other tastes, maybe explain to you what I think quality is or correct you on your minefield of errors up there, but none of that is relevant. You video was UNFUNNY. It was not original, it was not clever, it at no point made me laugh out loud. It is nothing that can't be done by anyone else and better. You didn't even make any jokes! You just sat their and made petty, unjustified remarks about the game.
It doesn't matter how I view it or what my tastes are or how badly you distort the words that I'm typing; your video was shit. I'm sick of morons like you who try to cover up their own mistakes by calling out other people, who make ridiculous comments like "We are the anti-thesis" and who deliberately exaggerate in order to make themselves sound more valid. I've watched all three of your video reviews and not once have I heard any humour, nor even any "reviews", it's just fucking awful. This is the pits. Either drastically alter your style or expect to be ignored.
turnips.
