#5. Put some actual content in your posts. This is a game site, not a petty message board for people to post randomly on.

Don't try to appeal to the community and basically ask to belong and then keep sucking. As much fun as we have, we still know the difference between win and fail, and members will praise or flame accordingly.

[notWiiSucks]When you post on here, just imagine that no-body care about you and won't be in the slightest bit interested if you try and talk about you. Don't post about yourself, at least not for the first few months, or 10 posts. Include tidbits about your life, by all means, but wrap it around some interesting content, like a news article from Kotaku, an interesting new video from ]ur;=http://www.gametrailers.com/]GameTrailers[/url], or some witty shinanigins you happened across on your travels. People come here for games and funnies, not people's mundane thoughts.
Also, take the time to check through what you've written before you post it. It's not vital with comments, but it you're making a blog, you should ALWAYS spell and grammar check. It increases your credability tenfold.[/notWiiSucks]
