I gave up PC gaming when I kept running into graphics issues where my brand new game woldn't run on my shitty PC.
Personally I doubt I would ever go back to PC gaming (unless I could use a controller and attach the PC to the TV - which is possible, but a pain in the butt). I find the mouse is really hard on my neck and shoulder and I end up with back pain :(

Nice post. I'm much more a console gamer than a PC gamer myself. Of course the conditions of furniture and the size of the tv or monitor will vary. I have a 55" plasma I play on. I kinda hate it lol, and prefer something around 32"-42". I also have a preference to play FPS games on consoles. Not a fan of anything of that sort on the PC and that's probably, like you said, because of the two devices that don't fit comfortably in the hands. I can react quicker on a controller than on a mouse and keyboard, but that's just me. :)
The main advantage of console gaming is the entry point. Today, the cheapest gaming PCS are around $500(considering that you already have a monitor) and will run the games on minimum specs.
If it is to run games in the PC with a quality similar to consoles, for $250 I can get a console and start playing and keep running games for five years. In PC, if I get the minimun specs, probably I will not be running the more recent games in 1-2 years.

So much misinformation about pc gaming still it's crazy. That tv? You can plug your pc into it. You can also play many pc games with that controller via an adapter. If a game requires a keyboard and mouse, you can get wireless ones and sit on that couch. Sure consoles have exclusives, but there are unique pc games that you can't find on your xbox/ps3 or aren't successful. I have been pc gaming for almost 15 years now, and it is not as hard as many console purists make it out to be.
Nice collection of games there bro, but of course MGS4 and Demons Souls are the best of the best there.
This made me crack a smile, for reals. Also finding out that you're a programmer (highfive!) was great too. We should chat about nerdy stuff one of these days.
This is not to say I don't play pc games on occasion. Steam always has great sales and I do enjoy some games that are only available on pc and some genres (mmos) are simply best suited for the pc. But all in all, the comfort and convenience of console gaming wins out for me.
As TheRemedy pointed, I could certainly hook my pc up to my television. However, I use my pc for a lot more than just games and wouldn't want it on the tv all the time. Unplugging everything, hauling the rig and cables over to the tv and then taking it all back when I'm done isn't really an appealing option.
@Domii I prefer the Halos and Uncharteds myself :o)
@knutaf Haha, yea; mainly flash programming, but I dabble in other areas in my free time. I've been having some fun getting Kinect to talk with Flash via nodejs in recent weeks! :o)
