That's outrageous...that's all I can say, man.
DynamicSheep's Destructoid Blog
So, that game costs 103.19 US dollars. Great googly moogly. I'd be a pirate as well with those prices.
maxio098ui's Destructoid Blog
cant you just import? it be cheaper. also im never gonna live there(A)
Pedro Blandino's Destructoid Blog
you also forgot to throw in local import taxes. thats why the games cost more money.
ajaxender's Destructoid Blog
Hell yeah! I hear you brother.

@ Pedro Blandino - Um, no its not. Want proof? On Steam Activision has forced the price of Aus/nz to be $88.50 USD, which converts to be more than retail. Their only reason for doing this is that that is the price they seem to be able to get away with for those of us who live here. That price was fair back when our exchange rate was shit; but its not any longer.
brainderailment's Destructoid Blog
Wouldn't you still save money if you imported from the us or somewhere?
adultswim810's Destructoid Blog
holy balls.

damn... i've said that way too much today.
Resonance's Destructoid Blog
Yeah I could save money importing stuff, but then it becomes quite a hassle. And you need to order a decent amount of stuff to make it worth shipping. For example I was going to buy some posters off allposters.com for about $10nz each, then the shipping was $30 for one item (each item only added a few dollars though) but it was enough to put me off.

Yeah, shit sucks. If I didn't live in America I'd probably be able to relate, but alas... I live in the land of cheap video games or whatever.
niacin's Destructoid Blog
@ajaxender. I find it pretty funny the way activision treats steam and UK, etc prices. It's cheaper to buy COD4 for the PC at full price from any highstreet retailer than it is on steam. Especially considering the prices on steam don't include VAT, they hide that right up until you have to pay.

I really like getting games from steam but I only get games when they are doing their sales weekends and even then I know I'm probably paying more than I should just so I don't have to leave the house.

I hear you, I live in Brazil.
And importing sucks. I've imported a Metal Gear Essential Collection, and it was supposed to have arrived six weeks ago.

trolls must be sleeping

And this is why I imported GTA4 (I'm in Aus). Sure I had to wait an extra week to get it but the money I saved and the hookers made it all worth it.... The sweet, sweet hookers.
animateria's Destructoid Blog
Whats up with the freaking pricing over there?
