The story gets better. I didn't think it was all that bad.
That's good to hear.
I suppose I can't really judge shit from only the first hour or so of the game. Might go back to it soon.
The first level... gets better. Thats the one were you rescue the guys from the dam, right? I found the last bit good fun.
Anyway, its all worth it (guaranteed) when you kill a scarab. Oh, also, i noticed while playing through again by myself (first play through was with my brother) the game is pretty much designed for co-op. I reccomend it.
....
wait... you are lambasting a games single player because of the first five minutes?
literally within five minutes of the campaign it is the epitomy of awesome.
you save marines on a dam from some brute charges and have to fight drop ship upon drop ship of enemies...
whatever, I'll enjoy my 1000 gamerscore with my katana on the back of my marathon armor...
NOOOOO. Not another Halo 3 blog. When will they end. Incidently the single player is completely dull. I suppose the multiplayer is slightly better if all your friends play it and you like that sort of thing.
Incidently a good word to say about Halo 3 follows suit of ajaxender scarab comment. That was pretty cool. I didn't mind the last level too much either, as anti-climatic as it was.
To each their own, dangale. I take it youre not a huge fan of the gameplay of halo, but thats fine, not everyone is. Glad to see youre not just another halo-basher who misses the good points though.
I just loved how you could see a scarab coming from miles away and you were like "HOLY SHIT! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING!" It was challenging as well. A bit of a mini-boss. That's what I felt Halo 3 really lacked, bosses.
To be honest, I've played up until the Ark in coop. But I'll be damned if it doesn't suck whilst played be yourself.
with* :(
Man.... 0.78?
You do suck.
Yeah.
Also make sure you start the game on legendary if you want the full experience.
Here's a more interesting fact:
What the fuck is a Steaktacular medal, and why do I have one?
not a fact...
I'm with you DanGale. I've been bitching on most of these horribly c-blog consuming Halo3 posts aboot the lack of any kinda boss battle. Where's the f'n last boss?
Are there any boss battles in real life? They wanted Halo to be like real life....except in the future.
@Remz
I Steaktacular occurs when you are on a team that beats the other team by 20 or more points. It's called that because Luck Smith of 1up Yours fame now working for Bungie beat someone a steak dinner that he and his team could beat the other by 20 points of more.
Why do I know this? Because I have a long ass commute to work and I listen to a shitload of podcast. Speaking of which, how's D-Toid's podcast? I only listened once and I had no clue what was going on.
Aha. Right-o.
Must've got that from that game of shotty snipers on Valhalla.
Oh yes, they wanted halo to be like real life. Hence, they thought putting Audrey 2 in the second one, and having the protagonist drop in from outer space to "finish the fight" would be just like real life.
Right.
Multiplayer is the whole game, also being able to alter the maps is insane. My boys and I have been making some crazy fun maps, low gravity and all kins of things...great fun.
