About
Hello,

About myself and Game-Art-HQ,com

I am Mr. Hoffmann, the grandson of Reinhold Hoffmann and a gamer now since around 1987.

Some of my favourite game series are Mortal Kombat, Borderlands, Tekken, King of Fighters, Monster Rancher, Bust A Groove and basically too many more to count them all.

Beside gaming, I like writing about it and video game culture.

You might have heard or read about http://www.game-art-hq.com a website which features over 15 art collaborations by gamers and is also the home of a growing video game character database.

Currently we have a League of Legends Crossover Project in Progress, are working with Overclocked.Remix on a big tribute for Final Fantasy IX and are mostly expanding the database sector which covers around 1500 video game characters now.

At least if you don't only play the games, like to jump on Goombas and collect 1UP's but also like to view art.

Was thinking about this idea since months and well..Mario's Blacklist just started, has over 35 handpicked artists on board I knew from previous projects and 15 new faces which are fired up and love the idea of illustrating the bad guys from the Super Mario games.

Seriously..even damn Tatanga, that Alien which abducted Daisy back in 1989 in Super Mario Land gets drawn by a super talented artists while also other classic SMB 1-3 enemies, many from SMW 1-2 and also the newer games + Mario RPG and the Paper Mario games are on board..and yes..even Waluigi will get his spotlight.

This latest video game art tribute for my website and community Game-Art-HQ.com  started just on this Monday and five illustrations were done already while the deadline for those goes till the 30th July. As said..the artists are on fire and it looks like we will have something damn great online, most likely in the 2nd September week since the King of Fighters 20th Anniversary Tribute will be published online on the 25th August.

On the 30th June its time for Link's Blacklist Round IV. Around 45 more Legend of Zelda enemies and bosses were illustrated and are described by the artists and myself in the galleries, this time with a big focus on LOZ Minish Cap and also ALBW guys like Stalblind and Yuga for the first time.

After the downtime because me deleting the database of the website which resulted in 9 horrible long offline days the site is back with a vengeance though. Redesigned and better looking than ever, with shorter loading times and a much better navigation. Could use the downtime days to try out things which made the site better than before.

Have a look at these five fan arts of super mario enemies and bosses, around 45 more will be part of Marios Blacklist!

ps: Wondered me that there was no dtoid article about it but OCRemix just released their Mario 64 Tribute Album: Portrait of a Plumber which also comes with a few artworks by Game-Art-HQ members after DJ Prtezel and I worked a bit together for the first time.

This album is pretty awesome, download it!
