It's my birthday tomorrow and Im gonna hit my big 2-0. I'm gonna have over $200 to spend on myself (My friends are poor and my rich friends moved away). I want to ask you, my fellow Dtoiders, to help me spend on my latest paycheck on something game-related!
My criteria for suggestions:
-something for PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube, XBOX 360, DS, PSP.
-not anything very expensive (like a steel battalion controller or AC6 flight stick or REZ trance controller)
-an retro console or retro game (ive been wanting a retro RPG since RFGO talked about Phantasy Star which was AMAAAAZING)
-FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD NO FPSes PLEASE. (cept orange box or COD4)
-Rock Band.
-My favorite, which is to hunt for rare games at Gamestops and Goodwills.
Any suggestion would suffice. HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY!

As for your retro urges: get the Sega Genesis Collection for the PS2, dude. It's got Phantasy Star 2-4 on it. They're awesome.
Download Shining Force on the Virtual Console, I think it's on there.

Well, how about a Sega CD? Lunar 1 & 2, Popful Mail, Vay, Shining Force CD, Dark Wizard.

I got places like Goodwills (Dyson's retro mecca), PlayNTrade, 6 gamestops within 20 minutes of me, and the biggest flea market in Texas nearby. Now if only I had the time to play these games.
If you often have friends over for gaming, I’d definitely suggest Rock Band. The amount of pure, unbridled joy that I have obtained from that game is obscene.
