Wow! I've heard a few rumbles lately on the Internets of the death of one Sonic the Hedgehog. If this trailer is any indication of what's in store for me in the hereafter, then I have nothing to fear, but fear itself. I think I read that somewhere once.
Anyways, what can I say about the trailer? The game simply looks amazing! It has incredible visuals and in my humble opinion, it actually seems to be finally ushering Sonic into the current gen of games.
And besides all that, we get to see him face off against his arch enemy, Doctor Robotnik.
We're talking about Sonic Unleashed, not Sonic and the Black Knight. So its a beat em up, not a hack and slash, lol.
Seriously though, the normal Sonic sections look like they play really well, with a high sense of speed. The were-Sonic sections don't look bad, but here's hoping they toss in enough into that half(with the platforming and acrobatics) to keep it from getting too repetitive.
No, seriously - turning a classic platforming game into an on-rails blur fest of pretty colors is not "ushering Sonic into the current gen of games."
Nor is a fucking werewolf component... but damnit, I honestly think that's closer to what the game should be than this emo-rock, on-rails, color blur bullshit.
The original Sonic Adventure was pretty on-track in bringing Sonic into the realm of 3D, but instead of improving it, Sony has gone back-fucking-wards and started shooting themselves in the foot which was resting on top of the stake placed above Sonic's coffin.
This game seems like just another step, but now with prettier visuals... can't say much for the music, though. Jesus.
@All my kind editors. Sorry, total brain freeze. I was actually almost late for work because I was trying to finish this blog. Doctor Eggman will now be changed to Doctor Robotnik.
That's what not enough sleep and too much work will get ya. The money's not worth the time. Never mind. I think I'm venting to nobody.

the werewolf sections looked classic hac-n-slash to me...too many enemies on screen and combo lists. Sonic is dead, get over it
Well, the shitty music is back. All hope is lost.
Actually, i haven't played one since the demo for the one on Dreamcast . . .
The Were-Sonic parts look like they slow everything down to a crawl . . .
ITS Dr. Robotnik. NOT EGGMAN
Great, this dildo from Bowling for Soup is getting more work?
I see a problem with this entire blog and its message.
