Mr. Nilsson wants to give you a relatively inexpensive ($125 to $200) solution towards the goal of creating a much more all-encompassing gaming experience. Or in his own words, "The jDome is a simple solution to a complex problem, namely how to immerse a gamer into the world of the game almost totally, with off the shelf hardware and your regular games."
I believe the jDome is only in the prototype stage of it's development. I can see some marginal potential for it as a product as long as it's sold at the lower end price point listed on it's website. http://www.jdome.com

I'm still in college, so for me, the gay......I mean the jDome is somewhat impractical. From what I saw at the jDome website, it just didn't look too portable. Too much work for me. That might sound lazy, but this girl is all about ease of use. But it did look cool. I liked how the game world surrounded the player.
I'm not too sure about the jDome thing. Especially with all the new technological breakthroughs coming on almost a daily basis with flat panel screens. I'd give it a look if it was cheap. Otherwise, no thanks.
