This game actually looks more promising to me after viewing this video. Obviously the story will play a strong part in my final decision...but what I saw in this video looked pretty darn tasty.

This video came via Sony Gamers' Day 08. And the developer said it will be out in February 2009.


I like what I see so far...what do the rest of you think?

I'm hoping that they add more mo-cap death animations. Cause from what i saw it looks like after playing a while they will be easily recognizable & look scripted. they say the animations are based on the bullet strength & distance (so im guessing about 3-4 different ones for bullets, dont know how many degrees of distance there are. i'd guess 3-4 as well.) which would make 9-16 total death animations.

the ragdoll effects don't seem to take place until after the animation is complete (basically after the corpse hits the ground) so i don't see that as removing the monotony of the death animations. :\ i realize they're trying hard to go for the wow visual factor; & i think the animated deaths will do that in trailers as long as ppl aren't looking too hard at them & don't watch the videos too much; but during gameplay i feel it will become obvious & take something away from the game.

The game is looking to be not too shabby and I like the reload animations. I really like the lighting effects as well but the Sixaxis thing looks.....meh

Since when was killing or blowing a guy up getting his attention? He used that word too much.

What the fuck is the morbidly obese king3vbo saying? Don't take it personal Spirit, this is typical of chubbyboy3vbo.

@TheDespised...I'm not sure what the deal is with king3vbo? I don't think he's ever said anything remotely interesting or contributed anything to the discussion in one of my C-blogs. It's always the same lame non-descript one liner. I'm guessing that's how he keeps his leaderboard score high...I don't know.
