[EDIT: There's some stuff going around that it may or may not be the same kid, OXM seems to have drawn the conclusion that it was the halo kid from nowhere, as the WaterTown Daily Times mentions nothing of the sort, which is strange, considering halo kid posted a video yesterday, and was supposed to have died five days ago.]
According to Official Xbox Magazine [
oxm]
Nimm [known on youtube as
fartbuttface], the 11 year old 'Halo kid' was made famous on youtube for creating cardboard replicas of the various weapons from Halo 3 and even Master Chief's armor. The boy accidentally shot himself in the head with a .22 rifle while skipping school to practice his halo moves.
OXM states that Police and Paramedics only took 35 minutes to pronounce him dead.
This is really tragic for everyone involved, especially since he actually posted a video just
yesterday. Sadly I forsee another debate against 'violent video games' on the horizon.
I believe the bigger question here is, why did this eleven year old child own a rifle in the first place? According to the detective in this case the weapon belonged to him, not his parents. Surely this calls for tighter gun control, not tighter game control?

[Was going to post this earlier, lazily tipped it, seems nobody picked it up, so here we are.]
You should hide this cblog.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE
also, he seems too smart to do such a retarded thing.
Jesus, if you're going to leave guns lying around you could at least not be an asshole and teach your kids to respect them. Or, y'know, keep them out of reach.
Yeah that was lame but that's all I've got...
This news sucks but what the FUCK was an 11 year old doing with a .22? The Parents should be shot for thinking that their son was "mature'enough for something that kills.
I was supervised when I used a BB gun until I was 16...my mom is awesome.
It makes me sad when you guys fight, so stop it.
And yes this is quite sad, why in the world would you buy a rifle for an 11 year old? Sure you can teach him about it but accidents still happen.
@ALEXRADL
That's what I'm thinking, thats one hell of an accident, I'll tell you now. The .22 is a big fucker.
Also, if this is true, well then that is really, really sad.
What an awful way to go. Dayum indeed. :(
Gun control isn't the issue. Teaching proper firearm safety and making sure they're kept out of the hands of unsupervised children is.
I call bullshit, he was taking a .22 to school with him?
it's not that weird, though.
I'd be less surprised by a kid with a gun at school than a kid that shot himself in the face because he's a retard.
We call it wagging here. :[
Yes, people can die doing stupid stuff, don't feel bad when someone dies of stupidity + this sounds to good ol fakyflakes to me.
