Right now the internet is aflame in anger directed at youtube, Four of the (In my opinion) best video game reviewers, The Angry Video Game Nerd, Armake21, Quickening666 and PlayItBogart have been suspended from youtube, some of them indefinitely.

[Update: I'm not entirely sure if Armake's videos were taken down, as his just says 'closed' rather than suspended, but I find it odd that this happened all at the same time.]

While, it's not entirely clear just yet as to why this has happened, Play it bogart has said in his blog that his videos were taken down by Take 2 Games, over a GTAIV video, with supposed copyright claims.

What I don't exactly get is, why would Take 2 order youtube to take down a video by someone over their game? Surely this just advertises their product and gives it more coverage?


The below video goes into a little more detail about PlayItBogart's suspension, as well as cover some more controversy with a user named "Hellsing920" who was banned solely for putting 'GTAIV' in the tags for his video.



I don't like the direction youtube is heading in.

[Update 2] While, this is just a guess, I'm assuming The AVGN's account was suspended for posting clips from a jackie-chan movie, or maybe his documentary on Rocky, but that's the only thing I can think of, Armake seems to have closed his account, rather than being suspended like the others..

Yes, I know. I'm aware. Don't know what's going on. It sucks, but I'm grateful for all the fans that the account has brought in and being in the #8 - #10 Most Subscribed Channel (All time) was an honor, truly. Maybe it's a simple mistake or maybe it's permanent. Either way, it's not that big a deal. Give me time to re-link my videos and straighten it out. So you can stop the emails.
