So today I made it my own personal mission to get fooled in every possible way and post everything I can find here, and here is this year's recap.


Ofcourse I'll start with destructoid's own little april fools - foxtoid, The entire front page was changed, all the editors got little moustaches on their avatars and would only post in foxnews style posts about the devil's games.


Sadly, Newgrounds didn't even bother changing anything, poor show newgrounds, poor show.


YuGiOh Abridged went with the simple, yet effective 'This account has been suspended' message, which at first made me think they just forgot to pay the bill.
[UPDATE] The site's back up.. and well.. it's.. it's.. I don't wanna ruin it, click the link yourself, I'm going to go cry.


Kotaku went with 'kaketaku' taking a self-parody and posting mostly cake-related news items, and then went on to post 'Assasin's gear solid' very well done and these definetly made me chuckle.


IGN went with a 'Legend Of Zelda Movie Debute' posting a (very well done) fake trailer for a legend of zelda movie, I was actually quite impressed.


Next up - Xkcd simply redirected to the (terrible) comic Questionable Content however..

Apon Visiting 'Questionable Content' you get redirected to 'Qwantz' (or, the dinosaur comic) and then visiting Qwants would take you to..

Xkdc, ofcourse! This was actually really clever and I applaud the sites involved, good show.

Even Microsoft got in on this year's fooling at their xbox website, posting several fake items including the 'Vintage' xbox and a little parody of the NintendON.


ThinkGeek went with several fake items, my favorite is the usb pregnancy test.


Chris Pirillo went ahead and staged a fight with his wife on his live stream last night, and the following day posted a video claiming that he's stopping live streaming in a very serious manner, then went with the traditional Rickroll, his chat room has been full of people being fooled all day.


Smosh claimed that they were sued by pokemon for $20 million in copyright infringements, begging it's viewers to buy their stuff, which includes, but is not limited to, their personal shirts, shoes, their youtube comedy award, spongebob boxer shorts, and more.


Several british newspapers have had stories, the telegraph created a video about flying penguins.


The Daily Star went with some story about james bond being bisexual, I don't know I don't read that crap.


The Mirror did a pretty funny story about dog racing on ice.


The Official Google Blog made a funny little blog post about google and virgin apparently joining to make 'Virgle'. I liked the name Googvirg better myself.

CANADIAN KETCHUP, IT TASTES BETTER THAN AMERICAN KETCHUP! I CAN CONFIRM IT!


Here's a little known one, the popular Mugen website Mugen infantry changed their entire website to "Imagination Land" I found it really fuckin' hilarous, they also published several april's fools mugen characters that do 999hits and take no damage.


This one isn't so much april fools, but I found it funny. Maybe I'm just immature but 'Sexersize' just made me laugh.

Earthcam put up a new 360 degree cam of 'Time square' I thought it was pretty witty, the box rotates with clocks around the cube and images of 'Thyme'.


Even NASA fooled with the aprils this year, with the rogue robot 'Dextre the Magnificent'
