My 1st game ever was on the NES it was Mario and the 2nd was duckhunt

I have owned NES,SNES,Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox,Game Cube and now a PS3

Other then that I dunno what else to say sooooo ok

My first blog is going to be a rant, because i'm so pissed at how bad this game is. Seriously is THQ smoking the same crack as EA Sports are? This game is the most unfinished piece of trash i've ever seen I mean c'mon. The only new feature about the game is the stupid and I mean stupid utterly pointless wrestler classes. So wait... now I can do moves that I could do in 2007 but i'm limited from certain ones and some I can use some to become invincible.. Wow great.

The saddest part about this whole game (besides the roster being so old an inaccurate) is the one player mode or story mode. Pointless pathetic attempt that left me quite frustrated due to its repitetion.

What makes all this worse I have a ps2. I've been a loyal fan of this game since about 2001 and they make this product. An since only a few ps2 games are getting put out nowadays its even harder to swallow this pill. I would upgrade but until Xbox fixes the 3RL situation ill wait it out.

Anyway my advice unless you love WWE dont touch this crappy game lets send a message that we as gamers are fed up with the lack of effort these companies put into these 50 dollar frisbies.

Smackdown 2 was the best of the series. I played the never-ending story mode for about a year and a half, good stuff.

Any wrestling game made by AKI (World Tour, Revenge, WM2K, No Mercy) or Spike (Fire Pro Wrestling, King of Coliseum) is the best you'll get in a wrestling game.

Smackdown has always been mediocre at best, everything from Acclaim has been bad, and Paradox/Edios made those horrible Backyard Wrestling games. Sadly, that same team, Paradox Development, was bought out by Midway and are not in charge of making TNA iMPACT, so I wouldn't expect much from that either.

oh and don't worry rayne i rented svr 08 for the 360 a few days ago and its no better. i just want a game with the graphics of today but the control scheme of the aki n64 games of old :(

Dude, you could have saved the $50 and put it towards a 360. I know you're worried about RRoD, but isn't it better to have great games to play regardless? There's been speculation that the new Falcon chips are in the HDMI-enabled 360's that are available with the two free bundled games. (No one jump on my ass if it's not true, I'm just going off what I've seen much techier people than I say in forums.) I'd get a 360 now and throw caution to the wind!

The Smackdown series was legendary, But after last years Piece of tripe... I had to buy it on the PSP and It was OK, but terrible on PS2. I'll probably get this one aswell, on PSP... THQ, Get back to the drawing board
