To the 2 of you with the puzzled looks on your faces AV-Open is an annual contest between the main Adult Video companies in Japan started last year so spur creativity in the porn industry.
Anyhoo, I downloaded a torrent of one of this years entry's. and came upon something quite questionable. Along with the AVI file containing Hot slanted eye ladies screaming like stepped on chipmunks, came 2 JPG's. one was the films cover, the other file is something I think you'll all be interested in seeing
For two Company's who want no part of AO games on their system, they seem to have no problems involving themselves in the Japanese porn industry do they? now while this could be one big misunderstanding, but it's much more fun to point and shout HYPOCRITE ain't it?

I don't read Japanese, but its probably not being sponsored by Nintendo or Sony. They might just be giving away a PS3 or Wii for some prizes at the event. That is what I would assume.
I can read Mandarin, and the red text containing the words "PS3, Wii" is in fact in Chinese and not in Japanese.
This is not Nintendo and Sony associating themselves with the Japanese AV industry: it is the company HiLive going out and buying PS3s and Wiis to give away as prizes in their sweepstakes. It is quite possible that Big N and Sony have no idea that their consoles are being used as prizes.

If HiLive is providing the prizes, as waywrong's translation suggests, then Nintendo and Sony aren't directly involved. I could buy a copy of Sweatin' To The Oldies IV and raffle it off to my friends, but that doesn't mean that Richard Simmons thinks I'm neat... though he probably would.
Now, if Nintendo and Sony gave HiLive the prizes to distribute then, yes, they would be hypocrites.
