Australian, New Zealand WAR release = FAIL
RJG | 6:24 AM on 09.19.2008 4 comments

The ship that brought Warhammer: Age of Reckoning to Australia and New Zealand.

I don't want to make a big thing out of this, but here:

http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99297

Basically, once you install WAR using the discs available from Australian and New Zealand retail stores you still can't play it, because it fails to install an .exe.

That's right, there's no way to actually launch the game once it is installed.

There is a fix available (basically downloading an .exe from someone who has it) but goddamn, this is just pathetic.

There is no excuse for this. EA is crap. That is all.

Yeah EA doesn't like our country at all. Still waiting for Rock Band 1 to hit our shores? WTF? Do we even care anymore? Hell fucking no.

Eat shit EA

Wow, I wonder if this is a problem with the pressing of the games or somebody actually managed to send off a disc to be duplicated that had a broken file on it.

This has to be the most epic fail yet. I wonder, have there been any other games released that wouldn't even start up out of the box?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
