New this week at Rooster Teeth, besides episode 4 of Red vs Blue, is a new mini-series Supreme Surrender using the Epic RTS Supreme Commander. Anyway, lets get into the recap.
RvB: Recon Chapter 4 The Recap: The Director reads his newest message to the Chairman, telling him that they the freelancers have the situation under control, and that his recovery agent (Washington) is already closing in on it. The Director expects that this matter will be taken care of shortly and that he will be able to return to his research without further interruption from the Chairman. Washington and Caboose arrive at a blue base, where one of the original blue team is stationed. Caboose mentions that when they got their new orders "He tried to hide his from me" to which Washington replies "Really? I cant imagine why." Caboose reveals to Washington that the soldier they are about to encounter "knows the most. He know all about your AI game, He dated Tex." Washington is a bit confused as to how someone could actually date Tex, but this train of thought is interrupted by a sniper shot hitting the ground between Caboose and Washington. Washington retreats behind the nearest rock, while a familiar voice says that "That was your warning shot. The next one is going right between your eyes." Caboose does not follow Washington and instead stand there is one more sniper shots completely miss him, Caboose recognizes Church's voice. Church continues to try and shoot Caboose and misses him completely. Washington, from behind a rock, questions Caboose about Church and why he is shooting at Caboose. Caboose explains that it is a game they play, where Church "Pretends he doesn't like me." The shooting stops and Church, from atop the base tells Caboose to leave. Caboose brings Washington up to Church, to which Church says "You brought a Freelancer here? Whats wrong with you?" Washington demands that Church open the gate, Church refuses till Washington points out he could just walk through the gaping hole to their right. Church grudgingly agree to open the gate. It turns out Church has been stationed there, alone, for over a year, of which Church says "Its been ummm... great, really great." Command radios Washington and he informs them that he has found "blue team members that have extensive experience with Omega." Church doesn't not like the sound of this, Command then tells Washington to head to Outpost 17B. While this is happening Caboose looks up and we are given a few seconds of someone camouflaged perched atop the team spying on them. Washington begins to move out, but Church refuses to which Caboose also refuses. Church then goes off on caboose about why he did not upgrade Mark VI armor and still has his Mark V armor. The argue about it, to which Washington goes "How do you ever get anything done if all you ever do is argue with each other?" Church replies "We don't. That's part of our charm, quit fuckign it up." Washington pleads with Church and Caboose to help him, Church however says that "If its killing freelancers I want to start a fan club for it." Washington reveals to them that they found Tex's ship, Church's tone changes and he agrees to go with Washington. As the three star to leave the area, the camouflaged soldier is revealed to be the same Soldier in white armor that we saw after the credits of episode 3. He scrambles the conversation between Washington and Command and sends it to Sarge, the new message saying "This Command calling Red Base... Agent Washington has reassembled the blues... Gather your team we want you stop Agent Washington at all costs..." End.... After the Credits, just like in the last episode, one more thing is revealed. The soldier in white sees someone sneaking around the base. Turns out to be none other than South who has been following Agent Washing all this time. The episode truly ends with the Soldier in White going up to South presumably for a confrontation. Another great episode, Church returns and that alone for me gives it a 10 out of 10, but the episode is actually quite funny. Aside from that, the visual trick used for the message scrambling scene is well done and one would never think you cant Actually do that in Halo 3. Overall this episode gets 10 elite skulls out of 10 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
