Download the Street Fighter 4 "Brawler" Costume Pack for FREE Right Now

Do you like free stuff? I love free stuff. Ask me what my favorite kind of food is. Go ahead, ask me.

"Hey Rab what's your fa--"

Free food is my favorite kind of food. Now shut up and have this free stuff I'm trying to give you. You can score the alternate outfits for Abel, E. Honda, Zangief, Rufus and Fuerte for free right now. I guess Capcom is feeling generous?

Right now all Xbox 360 Street Fighter 4 owners can download the "BRAWLER" Costume Pack for free. This pack includes the alternate outfits of Abel, El Fuerte, E. Honda, Rufus and Zangief. We're not sure how long this will last, so if you don't already have these outfits, you should click that link above and scoop them up as soon as possible. Capcom may be doing this with the other costume packs as well, so check back. I'll keep you posted.

SSF4 Q&A with Seth Killian and Makoto vs Ibuki video footage

The news is spilling in about the Street Fighter 3 characters finally making their triumphant return. Seth Killian did a Q&A with Gamespot that you can find here:;subtitle;2&mode=previews

Here are a couple excerpts, but if you're interested be sure to give the article a read and check out the rest of the screenshots:

GS: Super Street Fighter IV is bringing characters together from three separate "worlds" of Street Fighter (SSFII, SFIII, SF Alpha). What has it been like to balance and refine these characters to fit them within the SFIV universe?

SK: The SFII and SF Alpha characters both come from games with fundamentally compatible background systems, so integrating them together with the world of SFIV wasn't too intimidating. I was actually really worried about the SFIII characters, however. That game was built with parrying as the core background system, so in a game like SFIV without parries, would they be too weak? I'm happy to say they are definitely not too weak, and I was actually surprised how naturally the SFIII crew made the transition to Super SFIV.

GS: What kind of changes will the returning cast be undergoing in SSFIV? Can you give any specific examples?

SK: The philosophy behind the rest of the changes was to "balance up." This means rather than "nerfing" people, the aim was to make everyone stronger, though to varying degrees. Basically we don't want any fans of a certain character to pick up Super SFIV and find that all their favorite stuff doesn't work anymore, so we've actually worked to enrich every single character in terms of moves and overall possibilities. In terms of specific changes, there are a lot, ranging from the subtle, like Ryu's fierce shoryuken going from one hit to two hits, on to the more significant, like Guile's attacks having some increased priority…and even a brand new technique for Sagat. The number one change is, of course, the addition of a second ultra combo for everyone. These will change the dynamic of many fights.

GS: Constant iteration seems to be something that goes hand-in-hand with the Street Fighter series--obviously, Super Street Fighter IV is a new product--but has the team ever considered using downloadable content as a delivery method for future iterations of Street Fighter IV before moving onto Street Fighter V?

SK: DLC has been discussed, but frankly, the schedule for Super SFIV was so tight that we haven't been able to think much beyond this project. We did try and create more hooks in the architecture this time around to keep at least the possibility open, though the future for the series remains wide open at this point.

Ibuki vs Makoto:

And the trailer one more time for good measure:

Live Famitsu Stream Reveals SSF4 Stuff: Character & Stage Select Screens, Menus

There was a big Famitsu show thing today. Bunch of games and uhh.. stuff.
Ono was really really drunk apparently. The stream's over, but everyone's hoping somebody recorded some of the footage.. So right now everyone's just lurking youtube and waiting to see what pops up.

I've been up in the New Info Discussion thread on SRK so I've been following all the happenings pretty closely, though I wasn't able to see the stream first hand.
No new characters were revealed today, but the character select screen was shown and it looks like they've still got 4 empty spots to fill.. Which syncs up with early rumors of ten characters. If everything goes according to plan, we should be seeing Dudley, Makoto and Ibuki soon, along with the mysterious new character Hakan pretty soon, most likely somewhere around New Year.
Notable stuff:
-Abel apparently has an airthrow now, in which he slams the enemy into the ground facefirst.
-Rose's super looks different. o_O
-Guys command grab is retardedly fast, and he skids for a second if you choose to stop it.
-We should be seeing a trailer of the new Ultras relatively soon.
For now, have some pics from EventHubs.

New SSF4 footage: Bonus Stages, Adon, Guy and Cody

Gamespot got an interview with Seth Killian to discuss and show a bit of gameplay.
It's a shame they so viciously edited the footage and had their most retarded interns playing the game.
I know it ends abruptly, but that's because there was nothing interesting after that. Just the lame monotone interviewer asking "sooo... can you give us a solid date yet?" and Seth says "nope". That's it.

You can check out the full interview here. It starts around the 4 minute mark.

(Translation is UP) New SSF4 Q&A with plenty of stages & kunai to go around.

EDIT: Too lazy to post the entire blog, so go give it a read yourself!

To be honest, it's mostly just bullshit, but here are some things of interest..
-More information on New Stages should come on Dec 18
-"Are those Ibuki or Gekis kunais?" "Well, Geki uses shurikens,,"
-Everybody has their own background music
-NOT everybody has their own personal stage.
-PC version is "undecided"
-They hear us about the Arcade version, so they're going to try their best to make it happen.
-Juri is hot

Now here, have some sideboob.

Personally, I think the people in some stages look like shit, so I'd like to see more stages without people, ie this Lion King stage. The animals look great.. just.. no more crappy looking NPCs in the background, Capcom!   read

"SSF4 roster was decided a long time ago" Also a video walkthough of SSF4 so far

According to, Capcom's Christian Svensson has stated that the final roster for SSF4 has long been decided.

"Is there any chance of a character poll for Super Street Fighter 4?

Sven: To set expectations the game is rather far along and one of the FIRST things we did was sort out what the roster would be. While we're happy to accept additional feedback for future titles (if they should exist at some point in the future), the ship has pretty much sailed for Super Street Fighter 4."

This goes in hand with the recent statements made by Seth Killian that Capcom will not be having a Poll to decide on characters to be added, like they did for Vanilla SF4. Seth has also said that we should be hearing an announcement on more new characters before Christmas.
Check out the whole article here.

From that, it looks to me as though the original rumored characters may actually be true.
From Street Fighter 2: Dee Jay and T. Hawk.
From Street Fighter 3: Dudley, Ibuki and Makoto.
From Street Fighter Alpha: Adon, Cody and Guy.
Plus two completely new characters. (Juri and Hakan)

Looks like no Birdie :(

Also, check out this video walkthough with Seth Killian, posted on today. Alot of Deejays moves seem SUPER safe, particularly his dreadkicks and even a blocked ultra. Apparently his MAX OUT comes out even faster than Guiles Sonic Boom. He looks like he's gonna be really really beastly. He's pretty strong and can easily combo his ultra if he lands a jab on you.
c.lpx2>> ex dreadkicks> ultra.

"So set all your buttons to Fierce and MASH THEM" (Vidblog)

Street Fighter fan music is the best. I wish I had more to say about this... But there isn't really much more to say. I really can't get over how hilarious that picture of Justin Wong is.

Let it be known that there is NO ESCAPE from The Red Devil.

Wherever you go.

Whatever you do.

He'll get'cha.

RT @Capcom_Unity: SFIV PC 50% off (that's $19.99) on Steam, this weekend only

According to the completely reliable news source Twitter, Capcom Unity has stated that this weekend only, Street Fighter 4 on PC is 50% OFF on Steam.$19.99 That's a motherfucking STEAL if I've ever seen one.

Let it be known that the aside from the PC version of SF4 being by far the closest version to arcade perfect with regards to frame rate, it also has a fucking incredible mod scene with sound mods, skin mods, move swaps, and shit that has yet to even be discovered. And I know I'm not alone in saying that I'd fucking love to be able to alter SF4's garbage soundtrack and replace it with classic tunes, or even some of the tunes from HD remix.

(Posting it again for anybody who didn't see it the first time, and because it's just fucking awesome.)

So yeah, GO FUCKING BUY THIS NOW if you haven't already. And shit, even if you already own SF4, you OWE it to yourself to get this version. Finally you have the option to make it look, sound and smell like it always should have.
Also naked Chun and Cammy.

StreetFighter 4- Meet the Scout

Some really awesome progress has been made in the SF4 PC modding community. It went from naked Chun Li, to Zangief with Cammys moves, then we started seeing a lot of really great skin mods like Vega as Strider and a few classic throwbacks like Balrog as Dudley and Abel as Alex.

People have been getting quite creative. This one in particular is almost fap worthy. Rose with glasses and a pony tail? YES PLEASE.
There's some really crazy shit out there if you haven't already looked. Awesome. Crazy awesome.   read
