Also it's awesome to see that there is a substantial number of fighting game fans on here. After Dtoid had MvsC2 as the best fighting game of the decade without a single other game on there I was worried about this site's taste in the ultimate competitive genre.

The game is gonna be played in an entirely different way dude, it's not gonna be turtlefest anymore. The Focus attacks are gonna be faster, the tempo too. The tweaks and fixes will definitely make this game something way more balanced and fun. Capcom's adding characters that were in engines and systems that played extremely different from each other.This is gonna be way more than a simple expansion.
Also where have you been? A lot of us Dtoiders play a lot of fightans, I guess you were too busy to notice? It must be since this info was actually very very recent you didn't have the chance to go to SRK or Eventhubs..
Anyway, we are always itching for new blood! Feel free to hit me up on XBL or visit some of the threads on the Dtoid forums to get in touch with the PS3 side.

Um I've been playing fighting games since SF2 but if that makes me new blood then sure why not. Also I was not in anyway insulting the game, I said I was really excited for it and that it was my most anticipated game of the year despite all the completely original games coming out. I'm not sure how expansion is a dirty word to you or how I was insulting the game, in fact I much prefer it be a 40 dollar "expansion" over them calling it a sequel (which it isn't since ya know, it's still SF4) and make me pay full price for it.
tl;dr: I can't wait for the game and getting so worked up over my wording of it is silly.
Iunno the word expansion to me means one of those 10 dollar mappacks that Halo/Gears/CoD have that don't really do much.
