The year was 2007, and I was a little disappointed with Twilight Princess. Rumors were spreading that Miyamoto and his team were working on a new Zelda title with a different vision. SquareEnix also jumped on board to create some DS titles. These cosmic events created the ultimate bang that was the video above. On March 31st 2007, hours before April fools day. I unleashed this video on the Gamespot forums. The rest is history. With this video, hyped and hysteria ensued. Gamers hated it, or loved it! I for one prefer the latter, the Zelda franchise is in desperate need of a refresh. I pray that Miyamoto and I are on the same wave length. Take Link and Hyrule to the future in 2009!

Even though I knew it wasn't real, that video made me physically sick. I pray that this kind of thing will NEVER happen to Zelda games.

Looks a little to Star Wars to me. It's hard to imagine what Nintendo is going to do with the Zelda franchise. I just really hope that it turns out good.

I'll admit I was intrigued, but I don't want to see Zelda turn into Star Wars. :(

They have Zelda in the future. It's called Metroid.

I think steampunk Zelda would be cool. Or a Zelda game in which you do travel through time similar to Chrono Trigger but play as multiple 'Links' I remember getting excited about this video but never believing it for a second.

I know I'm way behind on this, but I was bored and sifting through blogs. I know it's a gag, but that version of Zelda would be an amazing shot at reimagining what is, imo, a franchise on the edge of getting stale.
