About that freedom thing. (NVGR)

Bin Laden, he could have never come here and taken away our freedoms, but thats exactly what our government is doing to us in retaliation of his actions. His goal was to exact revenge for our armies bombing places in their holy lands and killing their innocents. He doesn't care if we're a democracy and have certain freedoms and rights. Why would that, of all the things our government has done, bother him?

If his goal was for us to have our freedoms taken away, then he has succeded in that goal. He wanted revenge, not to terrorize us, its our government who wants to terrorize us, because then when the people are afraid, they can get away with taking more of our liberties and rights away. This is part of the reason they have absoluetly no plan to kill or capture bin laden, he's worth far more alive then dead because he is the face of hate, when you take that face away, the people will redirect that hate somewhere else. But where they direct this hate is unknown, this is what the government fears most, where will all this unbridaled hate go?

The underwear bomber boarded his plane across the sea, he actually never stepped one foot in a american airport, even after being caught, he was taken away while still on the runway and taken into custody.

Those who sacrifice freedom for security get neither.

Our government does not care about the safety of its people, they only care about the safety of our money being given to them and the control of ideas and of it's people.

Its also been proven that bomb and drug sniffing dogs are the most reliable source of airport protection, but its all about money and no one can make billions of dollars off the sale of dogs.

This has all happened before, the best known source of it happening before was nazi Germany. Checkpoints and papers please, making the people believe certain actions and measures would make them safe, it didn't make them safe from government though, it painted the target directly on them.

The 1st step is an act against the people.
The 2nd step is identifiying to the people a foreign and domestic threat.
The 3rd step is war against an ideology.
The 4th step is war against the people that support that ideology.
The 5th step is the slow taking away of liberties that don't serve the governments best interests.

The 6th and final step is total control over the people.

This has all happened before and it is happening again. If we don't rise up and protect our freedoms and liberties now, they will see this as a victory and then take them all away, one by one.

Our constituiton and ammendments prohibit unjust searches against a person and people without due cause. Under what due cause has the government for conducting a search of someones grandmother and daughter. If it wasn't government doing it, it would be considered molestation.

Our founders knew this and wrote laws against it! once we give them up, who's to say whats next?
The rights to bear arms (which was created to guarantee the people a means of protection from such an out of control government).
The rights to free speech and public assembly?
The rights to vote?

The right of due process is now going away, it pains me to see this happen. Once we give it up, we may have well given up all of them as thats what will happen. the president will declare marshall law and then he will sit in power for as long as he wants to with total unchecked power to do as he see's, our democracy is crumpling away, piece by piece.

If the cup is half full, its also half empty. They have guns in the cockpit, bank type vault doors to protect the cockpits, armed air marshalls to protect us from these horrific acts. Those are great securities that did not infringe the rights of the people. But those were not enough for government to have total control over us. These things were not in the governments best interests, though they were in the people's best interests.

And that how democracy goes out, not with a bang, but a whimper.....

Too bad this sentiment (like many others...deficit spending, anyone?) is rising en masse at least one administration too late...I seem to recall that not long ago anyone who found fault with the practice of hauling citizens overseas in the dead of night to torture them "wanted the terrorists to win". Funny how suddenly that turned around...

... and it's too bad that games don't explore the entire concept of "freedom" rather than trying to inundate us with bad replications of the concept of "war".

well, i was always aganist the war in Iraq, it was unprovoked, uncontitutional, one big lie just to get US troops in the holy land and so much more.

pre-emptive war is the biggest load of bullshit in the whole world, our founders aimed to make it so, unless an act of war is carried out against us, we cannot go into and make war. this idea is now long dead.

Elsa, its all just a ploy to make us so ready to accept war and death that we become a nation of war-mongering and seek blood for every little thing committed against us.

thanks everyone for commenting, if you don't agree with my opinion, that is fine, i just aim to help open the eyes of those whom have been brainwashed by the propaganda mainstrea media and maybe to inspire a new generation that people who are still ready to give their lives to ensure their and their children's freedom from tyranny.
