No it wasn't a certain game at all the got me hooked, it was Nintendo's systems that made me such a avid gamer. I was born in 88 so I never got to live and play games when the NES first came out or even the SNES, never had a system of my own. The first time I encountered the NES was back in 92, just a guess, at my babysitters house. There it was a large square box sitting in her entertainment systems. Well being the curios child that I was I asked what it was, since I never saw one until then. She told and she hooked it up and popped in the Super Mario/Duck Hunt combo cartridge, and I really enjoyed seeing Mario run across the screen pounding on goombas head's, I was terrible at the game but I still wanted to play.
So whenever I went over there my brother and I would sit and play some Mario. Her son saw us enjoying the little NES and let us play his SNES, I fell even more in love with that system. Playing Super Mario World and Mortal Kombat was just so awesome in my little eyes. Sadly we moved and didn't have a system of our own. Until one day we meet are friend Patty. Ah back to playing SNES, everyday over the summer we went over to play Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 3 and Super Mario World, along with other random games. Many hours of Dk and Mario do I remember, many moments of frustration and me getting hit in the back of the head with a SNES controller, good time good times.
Sadly we moved again and only with a Sega Gensis 3. Yea I played but it wasn't the same as a SNES, oh how I missed that. Then the floodgates flew open, my brother's dad gave him a N64. So many games consumed my life; Castlevania, Donkey Kong 64, Killer Insitnct Gold and Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Oh it was awesome, it was really at this time I really began to fall in love with gaming. It really did help me survive my middle school years, being the only person in my grade that took gaming seriously at the time was hard.
So I have will always have a great love for Nintendo in my heart. It was them that got me to be the gamer I am today.

I was lucky enough that my parents got the SNES for my sisters and me as a Christmas gift.
