Although there is no official report or statement on this yet, there have been some new developments!
A post on Maxconsole leads to the report on Nintendic, who translated another report on Wiiz that mentions Jeuxactu reporting that Okami is CONFIRMED for 2008.
That's basically a lot of stuff linking to just Jeuxactu talking about Capcom having announced it. If you translate the comments however, you notice how Capcom has supposedly just announced it at their London Gamer's Day. Which Kotaku has kinda noticed as well, my my!
Between this and SF4, those sure are some megaton announcements if this one is true. We'll see tomorrow-ish, I guess? Some pre-emptive celebration is in order!
If this is true, I am pre-ordering that shit as soon as the street date is announced. When I read this, I came so hard, that hot chick in my Spanish class just got pregnant, and I'm nowhere near here right now
So...this means I'm excused for not playing this game yet, as I totally guessed it would happen and waited patiently for the inevitable Wii version. I think I could get away with claiming that, at least.
Oh thank god. I loved this game but my girlfriend refused to play cos it's on the PS2 and she only likes nintendo (difficult wench). At least finally i can force her to play this.
Okami is so suited to Wii and DS, because of the drawing aspect. I'm glad Capcom can see that and are answwering calls for a Wii version.
Jeez, Capcom are everyones favourite developer right now and are really listening to us, just like Sega with Nights and Samba De Amigo. All the better for Wii as a lot of these games were missed by many first time round.
