The latest new on GameSpot is that Konami reported that they need at least 1million copies sold on the first day to actually make a profit. Personally I think they have nothing to worry. I’m sure all of us who own PS3’s planned on buying the game as soon as it was announced. Furthermore since the game is most probably the last in the series I’m sure all Metal Gear Solid fans are anxious to find out how it will end.

When you were younger have your parents ever told you that you shouldn’t play video games because they’re violent? If you have I’m sure you know how annoying that is. In recent years this topic has been wide spread. The media also insist how children’s behaviour is linked to the fact that they play video games. The other day I heard the radio warning parents on how violent Grand Theft Auto is. GIVE ME A BREAK. If I hear one more time how Grand Theft Auto causes kids to act violent, I swear I will puke. Like seriously, do you think that after I play Grand Theft Auto that I’m going to go out and rob a car? That’s so full of shit because every time something wrong happens these days the media will try to point the finger at someone else. Seriously, if your kid is out of control, I’d call that bad parenting and video games should not be blamed. If I had to guess I’d say the people who say these comments are probably depressed because they sucked at games as a child.

I’m sick and tried of the weird looks I get on the bus every time I pull out by PSP or DS. So what, I’m a girl that games, GET OVER IT. It’s really getting old the reaction I get when guys find out I game. The best was when I wore my “I pwn noob” shirt to school and I had to explain to every person in the class what it meant. I understand they're all noobs but, get serious. I always get those people who talk to me about a game, thinking they know more because they’re a guy, and they’re surprise that I know what game their talk about. COME ON, do I have the word “NOOB” written on my forehead. It’s the same shit all the time, after I tell someone I’m a gamer, they refer to me as “the computer nerd” WTF??? Anyways this prejudice has to stop. Please Destructoid, help me stop this prejudice.
