Welcome to Podsumaki, Destructoid's unofficial fighting game podcast. Every Monday at 6:00PM Pacific Time our main hosts gather to discuss fighters.
Permanent Hosts: KD Alpha, Wry Guy, de BLOO, RAB.
Guest Hosts: Listed below in the Podsumaki friend list.
We love taking on guests. If you love the fightans and wanna guest-host on the show get in contact with the hosts, or leave a comment expressing your interest. Specialists are in demand. Whatever series you're most in love with, let us know and we may be able to arrange an episode with you in mind. Do not worry if you can't make it Monday nights. The hosts may be able to find a suitable time if you think you can contribute.
Due to a low episode count there won't be a July Music Contest. Senisan and MatCD have won the June contest. We'll be re-vamping the rules come next time we do this.
This week we've got Nilcam and Lionxie from shoryuken.com to discuss the multitude of Capcom and SNK crossover fighting games. Have fun listening. We had fun recording it.

KD Alpha's Obscure Music Contest - JUNE 2010 - Episode 07 Every episode of Podsumaki (when the hosts aren't broke) there are various bits of fighting game music that play during breaks. Every listener, every episode has a chance to guess two of the songs in the episode. Points are tallied and kept track of every month in the blog sidebar. Prizes are also pictured in the sidebar. At the end of the month the listener with the most points wins and gets their choice of a prize, then the runner up is allowed to take their pick of anything left.
The first listener to guess a song in the comments gets the point.
Introduction: Point to MatCD [Red Earth/Wizard Arcade Intro]
Break 1: No winners
Break 2: Point to Senisan [Rockman The Power Battle - Stage 5]
Break 3: No winners
Outro: Point to Nilcam [King of Fighters 2006 - Ending Theme/Staff Roll]
Maybe Mad Catz should make a fighting pad with a "clicky" stick on it rather than a d-pad. I'd buy it! I cannot play on a d-pad at all. I'm so used to arcade stick that d-pad seems impossible. I tried out my wife's Logitech PS3 pad and while I could control jumping better in KoF XII, the attacks were harder for me.
I almost went with the TvC UAS version, as it's pretty great, but I ended up going for the more obscure version. And yeah, I believe you know what the first break is too.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Thanks for having me one. It was fun, even though I'm "hella old."
While I was tempted to say that the game was TvC: Cross Generation of Heroes, Youtube comparison leads me to believe that the game is Namco X Capcom

I also found out what Break 1 is, but that goes over the 2 guess limit =/
