Why is martyrdom the best perk ever? I'll tell you why, because you have the chance to kill someone once you're dead. That's right, you don't even have to be alive to kill the enemy. This is the most awesome idea ever. I wish people could drop two grenades instead of a single one so that you have the chance to kill even more people. It's nice having that peace of mind that when I die I have the change to kill someone so that maybe my k/d ratio won't be so bad. It's great watching people come running around the corner where I just died, and BOOM they're dead! It's so freaking awesome!!! I'm one 3l1t3 d00d.
There's other perks I could use in that slot like deep impact, steady aim, or even last stand. But no, I choose my martyrdom because it works 60% of the time 100% of the time. I mean sure, you might take out a teammate once in a while, but it's a risk worth taking. Who cares about teammates anyway, I'll just use my airstrike and place it over the bulk of my team. I also make sure to have my trusty desert eagle as my side arm because that always worked good in counter strike. Sure, it only has seven bullets, but they're powerful!
Fuck you martyrdom stop killing me. And learn how to use an airstrike you retards.
They always say, "It's in the game, they must want us to use it." But they can't forget that the developers of ET included "suck" in their game, and I don't think they meant for it to be there.
The different types of guns and perks are there so that you can make characters that fit your desired style of play, and to add more elements of strategery. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
Let's say you're on a small-medium map. You could choose a gun that has a small-medium range, but you'd lack the accuracy to hit someone on the far end of the board. If you were to use a longer range weapon instead, you'd be more vulnerable to enemies who use faster, shorter-ranged weapons who sneak up on you. A good defense (or tactic of vengeance / deterrent) would be to use Martyrdom, so that you have at least SOME way of "defending" against said enemies. A possible counter-tactic for them would be to sneak up to you, and take you out at a safer distance (and don't run over your dead body).
It's just another tactic that adds a deeper level of strategy. As such, there are many strategies you can employ to make sure you don't get taken out by this (at times) powerful perk.
I must admit, though, that Martyrdom (and grenades in general) have much too large of a damage-radius.
Martyrdom itself doesn't bug me, it's the fact that so many people use it. Luckily I mostly play Search & Destroy so it's easy to avoid, but in things like Ground War when they are going off left and right with people throwing three frags everywhere while constantly respawning, it's absolutely retarded.
if its balanced right with not too many using it then it just becomes a trap for the in-experienced.
i personally never use it because most of my deaths are from either g36's, snipers, or someone with a p90 snuggled up in some cover about 30 miles away but still managed to score a clean headshot :(
I don't mind martyrdom. But I mind that EVERYONE uses the stupid thing because it's so effective. As a balancing issue, I thought they could set it up where it only drops a live grenade IF you have any remaining 'nades left at the time you die. That works for me.

For the record:
60% of the time it works...every time

"Friendly airstrike in my area? What the hell does that mean?"
(That's you.)
You can bitch about this all you want, but personally, Juggernaut + Last Stand drives me batshit insane.
How many times must I shoot you?!?!?!
That said, it's all legit, so stop running over the bodies of people you just killed. That should help.
There's always so much hate for Martyrdom...

Also, let's learn about paragraphs:

Now that we've covered that, lets move on to images:

Now combine these two lessons, and we'll have a less fail-y blog. Thanks!
It'd actually be decent if the cluster grenade cheat was on. Otherwise, a decent player can pretty much always avoid it.
Total failure.

I was just ranting at ff martyrdom.
Fixed the paragraphs just for you fuzzy :). I was ranting so i wasn't really paying attention to grammar.
