I know what you're thinking "Sonic games has strengths?" Yeah, the used to. Early Sonic games has simplicity, great "Mousetrap" style level design, and were probably the best "speed run" games out there, at least for casual to moderately dedicated gamers.
I don't see how that gameplay philosophy can match with BioWare's at all.
But I'm still hoping.

It could be interesting, or it could be epic FAIL...the only way to keep this sort of game inline with the Sonic name is to have levels where you run around ala 2D games, and then the boss fights are RPG styled.
That would be cool...

isn't his superSONIC speed what makes him Sonic?
i call FAIL!
just create another RPG on the DS with a turtle if you want it to go slow... but don't slow down Sonic! its like putting a lada-engine in a ferrari... sure its still a ferrari on the outside but without the speed...

Nothing about it sounds bad, but neither does anything sound particularly good.

Also, I am a slight BioWare fan - so I still have hope for the Sonic RPG. Even so, I'll wait until the game is released to get off the fence and pick my side, thanks.
