I hate doing fanart, but it's the only thing that gets attention on dA, and since I've been smitten by the Aigis Love Virus yet again, I decided to draw my favorite peg-legged lady (don't tell Marina Lightyears).

I actually drew this when I went home for a weekend. I was just sketching some stuff on some spare printer paper while I was waiting for my laundry to finish so I could drive back to my dorm. The sketch ended up being better than I thought, so I refined it a tad, took it back to my dorm, and inked it on my computer in Sketchbook Pro.
Problem was, now I wanted to color it, but I just couldn't make up my mind, so I experimented...a lot. You can kinda see how I leaped around in those six thumbnails; I just didn't know where I was going, so I let myself run a little loose than usual. Plus it was a nice break from the mundane web design and animation crap I put up with all semester.
I'll probably go back and make even more variations; I didn't realize that they would make a nice sequential illustration if I added more variations to the mix. But right now, I'm just focusing on painting the original inked drawing in Painter right now. I want to go for a nice, refined, paint-y look. Once I finish that, I'll go back to screwing off with colors.
As a bonus, there are three little pseudo-wallpapers I made (via stretching the canvas, slapping on the game's logo, and calling it a night). Links to those three are listed in my Artist's Comments in the above link.
But srsly, nice work there. It's incredibly close to the style in the game's cutscenes, which is really impressive. I've taken enough art classes to know how incredibly hard it is to mimic another person's style so closely.
@Gangles: Yea, you know, I didn't even think of that until I assembled them that way. Like I said, I'm gonna finish my painting, then go back and add crazier colors and go for the same feel he did with Marilyn Monroe. It's really exciting :D
