17 minutes long, that is.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. As someone who dedicated every night to Persona 3 for over 80 hours, I'm worried if P4 will have the same magic that hooked me. When I saw P3's videos and music, they had me hook, line, and sinker. It's just hard to be as excited for this as I am about P3FES. The color scheme (gray with a yellowish orange) isn't my thing, and the character designs lack the "pop" that they had in P3 and look a tad stiff.
Combat looks exactly the same, but with new actions like lifting people when they fall. S-Links are back again, which was probably the best part of P3. Other menu stuff looks more streamlined, which should boost the already brisk pacing of the previous installment. No shooting yourself in the head, though.
Also, I think one of the characters bears resemblance to Mitsuru's father, though I may be imagining things. A prequel would be nice, though. The game's style certainly insists that they're related.
I'm starting to get excited now.
They came out with a new rule that says the trailer length must be based on percentage of overall game length, so as to show off equal amounts, proportion wise, of all games.
Also I added you to my friends list because I like your posts, hope you don't mind.
Holy crap. 17 minutes?
I'll have to wait until after work to check it out. Thank you for the link.
@surf: That'd be the most absurdly long timesink ever.
@Hoygeit: Yea, it's got chunks of stuff from the intro up to the first battle, then other stuff sprinkled at the end. We're not going to see trailers as extensive as this anymore.
Yea I know, I'm full of crap.
I wasn't sure if I liked the look of the new characters, but seeing them in motion alleviated my fears that they looked goofy.
And honestly, P3 had a great game system, so more of it with a few new options is fine by me. Now I'm all excted for this game. THANKS A LOT, JERK.
Oh before I forget, let me add you to my friend's list as well.
Looks same with new story, and additions. Do want!
O god I cant wait
as a person that put 100+ hours into P3, i pretty much feel the same way Phoenix Gamma. maybe this trailer will change my mind. i'll watch it at lunch.
