The opening may ask more questions than answer. Like "what the bloody hell are they singing?", or "can they MAKE an oversexed character loli-er than Etna?", or "how many large anime boobs can you put in a game before it's too much?" But I think the biggest one is "why couldn't the Disgaea anime look this good, goddamnit?!"

I always found the Disgaea games charming. Sadly, this game seems to set itself up to disappoint me:

I never beat either of the Disgaeas. There's grind, and then there's Disgaea.

The protagonist reminds me of the heroes in children's books and movies, where the author or whoever says "I'll give him really big glasses! That way kids with glasses will see that they can be heroes too!" He's just not as cool as Laharl, who seems to be stuck as a cameo again, alongside Etna, which is even more of a sin.

Also, let's not forget it still looks like a PS2 launch title.

But at least it has a cute anime intro :3

I think I'll learn that zombie dance now...
