Now we're acquainted, cool, let me tell you more about myself.

I'm a PC gamer, though enjoy console games too, particularly the Wii, because the few games that are really good for it are awesome, though most are silly and rubbishy.
I like GTA, and have never driven my car into a group of hoodies before getting out and machine gunning them to death, nor have I felt the need to steal a helicopter and drive it into buildings. OK, I have, but who hasn't?

I'm a bit of a programmer, started off in game maker, have 'moved on' to XNA and regular C#, for which I use microsoft's visual studio under Vista. Yes, it's bloated, but my 2GB of RAM don't like going to waste, so they don't (:D)

I love, LOVE, retroforceGO, to which I'm bummed I live in england, because it means I have to wait until Tuesday to listen to it, which is Torture, with a capitol AGH.
I love the old SNES era sprite based graphics, though 2D et al never really ages, as far as I see.
Having said that, I also like GOOD 3D, like Bioshock, and Crysis, it's just a pity they don't have the gameplay to back it up. Bioshock is probably GOTY material, but give me Super Metroid any day.

Oh, and yes, Prime IS a metroid game, fools, prime 3... not so much.
