1. This game is really good. Apparently the vast majority of reviewers don't know what the fuck they're talking about.

2. It's nice to see developers actually pay attention to uniforms and rank insignia. I remember watching a conversation in MOH: Airborne between two soldiers with sergeant's stripes (3 chevrons):

"What do we do, lieutenant?"

"I don't know, private!"

3. Are they ever going to fix the texture pop-in issue with Unreal Engine 3?

Yes us game reviewers don't know what we're talking about. We only get paid for our opinion because they are fair, balanced, well thought out and rated. But you know, I don't know shit. Brothers in Arms deserves the marks it gets, as reviewers we aren't allowed to make stuff up and we have to look at the big picture, so reviews are generally honest and properly constructed.
I would also like to mention that your summary of why we're wrong is pretty weak by the way, as in this is what you said.
YOU'RE WRONG BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME, LIKE OKAY, IT'S AWESOME.
And;
YEAH BUT THEY HAD THE UNIFORMS ACCURATE TO THE TIME! UNLIKE THAT OTHER GAME!

So what, if those are the only redeeming features for this game, you're the one that is wrong.

Spaceman: An average of 77 on Metacritic shows far from poor reviews. Hell's Highway has been well received; it does have it's issues but nothing major and certainly nothing game-breaking. SOME reviews have panned it, but that's where you find the benefit of multiple opinions - if THOSE reviewers generally ave the same taste as you, listen to them. If they are Joe McRandom from www.neverbeenherebefore.com, feel free to ignore them.
I loved it BTW.

Duke: Hit a nerve, has he?

Well the fact that most reviews slam games on a technical side these days, then yeah most reviews are innacurate.

One annoying tech issue might be something totally unnoticeable to another player.

But, god forbid it has pop-up issues, or load times, or glitches...thats like judging a painters artwork because YOU think he didn't use the right color for the sky.

If reviewers in game journalism got critqued like the games they critzize, they would bitch and cry all day. It's easy to dish out, but some people just can't take it.

Reviews are innacurate, opinon based bullshit.

Don't even get me started on Kane & Lynch, just becuase one or two reviewers agree on something doesn't mean the game sucks. And if you do not agree with that logic, than you are a FOOL.

@Bearcodi, not so much hit a nerve but suggested that ALL game reviews don't know anything. Personally I enjoyed BiA but there are quite a few notable faults with it. I reject the generalisation that games reviewers don't know what they're talking about when someone disagrees with their reviews.
At the end of the day however it is all subjective, my reviews are simply my own personal opinion. If someone values that opinion or agrees with my evaluation, great, if they don't, no worries, there are hundreds of other reviews available. My job is simply to recommend to a reader if I think a game is worth their time or money and I do so with respect and care as to not misguide someone. As such I was offended by his assumption that I/we suck simply because our opinions differ.

@Duke: I didn't read your poorly-edited rants, but I'm guessing you don't review games for a living, so chill the fuck out.

Weedgan: Pop-in, long loadtimes and glitches CAN ruin a game depending on how bad they are. Tearing, freezing and bugs should be mentioned too - The Force Unleashed has some corkers that I wasn't made aware of before I played the game and really pissed me off when I ran into them. UE3 games are awful for this stuff too - Mass Effect and Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 are two of the worst culprits so far, and I really do consider how annoyed these problems will make me before I put the disc in the drive (bashing through Realistic T-Hunt ATM). You can't expect a review NOT to include these as valid criticisms on this basis, but its possible that too much weight is given against them. Reviews ARE opinions, simple as - don't like that fact, don't read reviews. Its up to you whether someone else's views are able to help you make your own mind up or not.

Duke: Who do you write for? He said 'the majority' rather than all to be fair, but the generalisation is a bit unjustified given that BIA:HH has had good reviews pretty much everywhere.

@Phantom, perhaps you've misunderstood my comments as anger rather than simply making a point, I'm not having a go at you, simply explaining what the job of reviews writing entails. Whilst my writing isn't my actual full time job, it's a hobby and a good supplement to my income, hence I obviously got insulted by your assumption that giving a bad review means I or game reviewers don't know anything. Peace.

@Beardoci, I write for acegamez.com and pwnordie.com.
