I do not know why but my metal gear online beta code is missing the last 3 digits and the PlayStation network claims my code is �not valid�. I made sure that the its right and try submitting this code for at lest 20 minuets before I finally figured out that Konami gave me a incomplete beta code! And apparently, I am not the only one with this problem. I'm sending a e-mail to Konami right now. But this pisses me the fuck off!

same thing happened to me a few days ago. so i went out and got another dvd and it worked. so now i have one used code and one incomplete code missing three digits. i'm now in the process of updating the mgo client to v 1.1 and am at 98% using p2p connection (going ass slow) since the direct download link game me errors.

Yeah, I have another friend of mine telling me a buddy of his got 9 digits too. I was like "wtf?"

MAKE SURE ITS IN CAPS... oops... i mean.. make sure its in caps... thats why mine wasnt entering correctly

oh! crap! make some up? lol you only have a one in a many many thousands chance to get it right. That really does suck though... pretty hard...Konami fails at this for sure.

Yes, if you have a 9 digit code you're screwed. It should be 12 digits and look like this: 1234-5678-9012

its been said that there was a printing error so this problem is actually quite common. the gamestop i work at had like 20 people calling in today to complain. luckily mine had all the digits

i've heard if you have a 9-digit code you might be able to download it if you've got a japanese account.

Hey, guys... since you are claiming that its a Japanese code... then why dont you pull the ol' make a japanese account on your ps3 and download the beta from there... it should still be available for play on your primary ps3 account!!!!

Because in order to get it you need to set up a JP Konami ID that uses real PS3 JP info. Konami has been checking to see which people have real info and which people don't and have been deleting their Konami ID accounts and taking them out of the beta (you need the ID to log into the beta).

IF this was a year ago, we would all be loling at the fact that Sony's make or break title for the platform was plagued by a logistical nightmare.
