I LOVE the Initial D anime for everything, that it does. It has rather bad character design, but great car battles with even greater EuroBeat and that's all that counts.
Especially 4th Stage was fantastic and incredible fun to watch. 
Initial D girls aren't that great. Actually I've been interested in the PS3 Initial D: Extreme Stage for quite some time, but after seeing the new trailer I am really psyched about the game. The trailer is actually made like an opening for the TV series and I won't be surprised, if this is actually the opening of the game. The graphics look far better than in the TV series and that's the only standart, that really counts. (They should really use those for future episodes.) The new m.o.v.e. song is also quite nice and hopefully there is more new as well as some classic Initial D EuroBeat songs in this one. Note to fellow PS3 owners: The trailer hit the Japanese PSN in HD today. 
This movie isn't that great either.

i saw this game at play asia I think. I've heard of initial D but i was never motivated to watch it. I do have a lot of the music and it is great stuff, I'll probbaly get it if its an allright game.
