Chrono Trigger has a very special place in my heart. It was one of the games I imported for my Super Nintendo and I played it for weeks and months over and over again. I did every subquest in the game and saw every ending in the game and that was before you went and checked out a FAQ on the internet how to get all the endings. (So there was a bit of trial and error there.) I remember clearly how I got the fast ending you get by defeating the final boss right at the beginning of the game with only Chrono and I could "speak" with all the programmers and stuff. The story of the game had so many classic moments and so great characters.

I also loved Chrono Cross with it's countless characters and fantastic story. The opening sequence is one of my favorite video game moments ever.

The announcement of a Chrono Trigger remake for the DS surprised me and part of me is very happy about it, but I'm also really scared, that S-E could fuck it up.

What I want:
Graphics:
I want 2D graphics in Chrono Trigger DS. If they could just clean up the graphics a bit and perhaps add some new effects and animations in battle, that would be more than enough for me. Also if they changed my beloved 2D sprites to 3D models I would feel really alienated.

Gameplay:
They should add some new moves per character. The battle system of Chrono Trigger is really great, but the small amount of moves per character is kind of limiting. We also need TripleTechs for every party combination and bonus equipable TripleTechs. Also the menu system isn't very good compared to today's standards, so they should update that too.

Extras:
I want more subquests and a bonus dungeon. Also add some more endings in there, because you can never have enough of those. I don't want additional characters, because they would feel tacked on with the rather small amount of original characters. But I do want more story for the original characters.
