Yeah I hate the game too, but this blog sucks. Why would Nintendo kill successful franchises or make new characters to put in SSB. That's the point of SSB is to have a collection of Nintendo characters to fight against.
The whole point of SSB is recycling. It plays on a nostalgia, but its also a god damn excellent series of games. Not that talking about any of this matters to you, because you just copy pasta pictures from other sites.

Yeah, gotta agree with previous posters - it's exactly the point of the game to be a huge fanservice. It sets out to give a nod to pretty much everything Nintendo have done before.

Why not make games for these characters. Examples Kirby Wii, Kid Icraus wii, Earthbound series!, ice climbers, star fox, donkey kong, F-zero, fire emblem.
This may be old, but I completely agree with you on this game, except for Falcon. Captain Falcon is awesome and even if I now hate Nintendo, i'll always love F-Zero.
That's a very interesting take on the subject. I never really thought of it that way.

I just hate this blog..
Just to put my two pennies worth in, I'm not a huge fan of Smash Bros either- never have been. I think it is a pretty poor multiplayer experience, especially for those new to it. I've taken it to lots of social events and not one of them has liked it....
