TEXT WALL WARNING

With PAX soon upon us many of us will be partaking in the pilgrimage to Mecca/Seattle. I will be in company of one Mr. Conrad Zimmerman and more than likely will be meeting many of you, so you get an idea of who I am I've decided to go ahead and introduce myself.

My intrigue with Destructoid was spawned by seeing a man with a robotic head and a
"coke-dealer white" (yes I have submitted this color to Crayola) suit at PAX 07 and asking my associate who this person was supposed to be (thinking he was a cosplay character). Over the years I've tried to establish myself in internet "communities", only to be swept under the rug by the mass about of rubbish put out by already established members or merely just lost interest.

I'm a 26 year old male and have spent all 26 living in Phoenix, AZ. I have a girlfriend (of 5 years) who I've tried to coax into gaming with moderate success, her favorite games being Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, the Phoenix Wright series, Yoshi's Island and Zombies Ate My Neighbors (which we have beaten together). My most recent addictions include: Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 2, Space Invaders Extreme (of course I imported a paddle controller), The World Ends with You and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as King. Upcoming titles which will cause me to put more games in to incomplete-purgatory: the ever so tasty Final Fantasy IV DS remake, Bangai-O Spirits, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Gauntlet, Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen, Disgaea DS, Legend of Kage 2, Ninjatown, N+ and of course Chrono Trigger. My greatest gaming achievement was completing Super Metroid in 1:15 with 100% of the items found.

Like so many others here I too am a"chronic non-completionist" (yes, I made that up too, but you can use it). However my backlog of titles isn't nearly as extensive as some others. My preferred gaming console is my (limited edition LoZ) DS Lite, and my only entry in the current generation of systems is the Wii. Additionally I have an NES, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, Xbox, Gamecube, grey-brick GameBoy, GameBoy Color, Gameboy Advanced and a phat (red) DS. Which I suppose I'll show off in the near future with an obligitory "hey check out my gaming setup"-type post, after I get around to tidying up my living room.

If you're curious about the origins of my internet pseudonym, I present to you this little fellow.

If you are unawares who this character is, hang your head in shame.
This is Pete from Capcom's Power Stone series.
IIRC I the evolution of my nickname was something like: Pete -> Petey -> PeTeY -> P3T3Y
It wasn't particularly gradual. I think I settled on the current incarnation within 2-3 weeks, but its lasted me a couple years now and don't really feel the need to change anytime soon.

That's all from me for now fellow 'toiders, you'll be hearing again from me real soon.
