About Me
One fateful day in the late 80's we took a family trip to NY to visit my aunt and her family. My cousin wanted me to check out his new game system, which turned out to be a NES. I was about 7 or 8 and had heard about game consoles, but never actually played one and never had any interest prior to this point.

He put in the Mario Bros./Duck Hunt cart into the console and handed me the light gun. I thought to myself, "Wait, you can use a gun and shoot stuff on a TV?! HOLY CRAP!?" My mind was blown and I couldn't pull myself way from the TV, luckily I had my parents there to pull me away kicking and screaming. I've been a gamer ever since.

I've owned almost every console at some point in my life, made the jump to PC gaming and back to consoles in this most recent generation with the PS3 being the console of choice with the Wii playing backup.

Favorite Games (In no particular order)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Burnout Paradise
Metal Gear Solid
Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past
Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit

Betty's Resort: No Protection? No Problem!

I've been a fan of the time management genre of iPhone game ever since I got my 3G. Chocolate Shop Frenzy, Sally's Spa and Airport Mania are all great, though Chocolate Shop can get repetitive towards the end third and there's this tacked on match-three mini game that becomes pointless half way through. I was in search of a new TM game when I came across this little diddy, Betty's Resort.

It seemed to have similar style and gameplay to Sally's Spa and I was interested at first until I read the description. The person who wrote it was speaking in broken English, which was my first clue that something was terribly wrong or terribly right. ;P
I kept reading until I got to the following...

Planned features you can upgrade.
- Remove the Condom as suggested.

Whoa! What kind of game is this?! A resort where condom's are optional?!

The iTunes page says the developer is Summit Applications, but underneath (in the desktop iTunes application) it says the seller is Tengteng Chen. Hmm...interesting, I never noticed that before. Instead of downloading the game and having my iPhone catch some disease, I dug deeper to see what the people thought about this game, and noticed Betty must have a cult following or something because I found several comments in the same broken English.

I came to my senses and realized this game was just a rip-off of Sally's Spa and they went as far as to steal the art assets from Sally's, not only that but they were gaming the system by posting fake comments and ratings to boost it's popularity. I eventually found some comments from "actual" users who confirmed this. These people also confirmed that the condoms have NOT been removed and the gameplay is nothing more than just clicking on random icons. I think I'm gonna have to report this to Apple, not like they're going to do anything since they're too busy approving crap games like this, but it will make feel important.

See the attached pics for examples of this developer's awesome grammarz skillz.

Betty has some explainin' to do!

Unfortunately I don't know how many of us can relate to iPhone games.

I can relate. For some reason, I have actually been playing more iPhone games than normal ones.
