Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
It's like the crappy surround sound system I have in my room. Just because it was cheap doesn't mean it's very good.
will hd-dvd or blue-ray win the war?
Videophiles like Niero will have to pony up a bit extra for the Toshiba A30 and its 1080p glory. I'll just caress my poor 27" 480i CRT in the meantime. It's OK, little Sony.
$63 1080p HDTV
@unstoppablejuggernaut
lol I have never rick roll'd anybody... but its probably about time i do
@MaxVest
Of course I'm right. I have this condition where I actually can't ever be wrong... Plus this was on AOTS so you know its not only true but old news as well.
@Action Bastard
cmon man... I mean, we could spend all day naming the Differences between a Toyota Corrola and a Ferrari Enzo but at the end of the day the Corrola is the #1 most bought car.
@brainderailment
I disagree. I think most anyone has the common sense to know that a $98 HD-DVD player won't be as good as the $1,000 HD-DVD player. Its also not aimed to the people that think "I'm gonna get a super sweet HD setup at my house", its aimed at the people who aren't too tech savvy and are probably just looking for a DVD player, but will end up being swayed by a salesman or by the price alone to go HD. They are trying to make HD an everyday necessity, if it already was a necessity then they wouldn't have to try this hard to sell them. Toshiba is looking to get these HD-DVD players into as many homes as possible. Quality is not an option now... well not if they want to beat blu-ray that is.
that last one was also sorta @topgeargorilla and @Action Bastard also.
