Many moons ago, when the internet was still in its infancy...There was a game. A game that was so much fun, free, and caused hours of drunken hilarity. The game? Get the Picture. There were rooms, like chat rooms from AOL circa 1998-2001...Only that in these rooms there is a game played. They had censored, and uncensored rooms, and I always chose the latter...
The premise of the game was so simple it hurt. They show a picture, and everyone had to create a caption for the picture. Then, after say 60-90 seconds, all the comments would be shown, and the room would have to vote for their favorite. You couldn't vote for yourself, so most times the funniest one would win. Me, my girlfriend, and best friend would get online, and go at it. Most times I would be on the phone with one or the other, and sometimes both.
From innocuous pictures that had stupid remarks, to ultra vulgar racist fun stuff, it was great. Everyone had a sense of humor, and knew not to take anything written as a caption too seriously. The rooms held 10-20 people at a time. And even if you didn't make a caption, you could vote on the best one. Usually there were some really over the top funny as fuck stuff written.
The only things you needed to play the game, a PC, internet access, ability to type with 2 fingers, and wit. (the latter 2 being the only real gameplay) I miss GtP. Especially now with all the insane games that we can play...Why have we lost this truley great thing...It was free to play (Anyone remember the Win.net games?) and had the ability to have replay value that would only be rivaled by an MMO.
If anyone remembers this game (Along with Acrophobia - the game of acronyms. Another beuty, but I'll get into that later) give me a shout. I have such a love for this old game, and the great times it gave me I just wanted to share my memory of it. I hope there are a few other folks out there who remember this....And if anyone knows where something similar out there drop a note.

There's a video of him floating around somewhere online in which he says "fuck" during an episode when a kid falls down.
like a picture frame with a cock on it. just saying, add a little humor that loosely relates, your blog will look more interesting and get a few laughs. and your point will be seen. it's win win.
THAT DEAR SIR IS BRILLIANCE! Since today is Friday, I will start "Get the Picture Fridays". The first one will be up at noon. I can't believe I didn't think of that...
