Update: Here's the actual play order they'll be doing
(From the website:)
Final Fantasy I:Kilgard
Final Fantasy II:Local
Final Fantasy VI:Cross Warrior
Final Fantasy V:Phil
Final Fantasy III:Gwellin
Final Fantasy VII:Dustin
Final Fantasy IX:Daniel L. & others
Final Fantasy X: Rob & others
Final Fantasy IV: BlackDuck
Final Fantasy VIII:Daniel M.
Final Fantasy XII: Britt & Chase
Final Fantasy XI will be played by an honorary participant “Nobody X” who has a form of Autism so the cause is very close to her heart. She will begin streaming the morning of Friday July 24th. There will be an extra feed showing her progress through the game.
Seriously? Well they need a medal, I have never fully beaten a Final Fantasy game. The closest I've done in Final Fantasy V and I was still missing 4 of the sacred weapons.
I wonder if there has been a Pokemon marathon yet, it would be worth recording too.
Wow, and I thought the Mario Marathon was awesome. I have to say, that is an odd order to play the games in. Good luck to them though :] Hopefully it won't put them off playing FF :P
I donated :)
I've never beaten II, V, or XII.
I think I'll watch their run of X, since I loved it when I played it, but have been putting off replaying it because of the unskippable cutscenes with horrible voice acting.
Awesome! but a JRPG speed run? it's gonna take at least 10 hours per game, especially the latter ones.
@Xhumation
I would say you're right, but I've seen Ocarina of Time completed in about 2 and a half hours, so my faith in humanity is noticeably shaken.
That said, this is so awesome that they're doing it for charity. If there was one with miscellaneous games like Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, I'd definitely be up for it.
I'll try to tune in and check this out. A FF marathon is crazy itself, but the whole series in one shot? dayum...
They should do a Mega Man & Mega Man X run next!
Wow... I barely had the patience to go through with the grinding in Final Fantasy III and IV. And they're doing this in one week!? Respect!
