Driven to madness from the lack of our sustaining forums, I decided I wanted to compile a list of my five favorite females from video games. However, I noticed they all had one thing in common: They were all dark-skinned (hence the header). In descending order...



T-elos (Xenosaga: Episode III)
Literally a killing machine, T-elos is KOS-MOS's evil doppleganger in every conceivable way. Take everything about KOS-MOS and pervert it, and T-elos is the result. How can you not like that?



Fran (Final Fantasy XII)
I'm not a furry and most of the time I'm repulsed by anthros or anything close to them... but Fran is a half-human/half-Playboy bunny and dammit she's hot. She's an expert pilot, speaks with a sexy Icelandic accent, and is a skilled marksman and mage. Her partnership with Balthier makes the sky pirate all the more badass.



Yuko Nishiwaki (Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3)
A potential love interest in P3, Yuko is the athletic coach of the athletic team the protagonist joins. She carries the Strength arcana, and her maternal nature is reflected in her love of children and desire to bring the best out of people. At the same time she shows weakness in that she's insecure of what she feels she is best at in life.



Sheva Alomar (Resident Evil 5)
Hated by many for the game's inferior AI, Sheva Alomar is nevertheless a great character when controlled by a human. This stoic agent joins Chris Redfield in his African outing, and whereas Chris utilizes a brute force offense, Sheva uses her agility and dexterity to overcome her foes.



Shinobu (No More Heroes)
My absolute favorite gaming heroine (or should that be villain?), Shinobu is the pseudonym of Scarlet Jacobs, an eighteen year-old assassin who channels the spirit of the samurai in her katana mastery. She is often cited by gamers as the toughest boss in the game, and if you don't know her pattern she can give you headaches. A foul-mouthed but proud warrior, she seeks vengeance for her father's death. Whether she will appear in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle remains to be seen.
