PlayStation blog PlayStation Lifestyle has done some rumormongering, bringing attention to a page in the latest Official PlayStation Magazine. The magazine is predicting that the next installment of Tecmo's Dead or Alive series will appear on PS3 (exclusive or not).

The DoA series is famous for putting an emphasis on T&A over good gameplay, and the fourth title was particularly souring. However, I did enjoy the third game; and with Itagaki gone, it's possible that Tecmo can devote more to making a proper fighting engine, rather than making an improved breast physics engine.

There's absolutely no reason to think this is true considering it's pure speculation, but anything that gives me an excuse to post hawt DoA cosplay pics is a good thing.

...bullshit

DoA is by far my favorite 3D fighter
I prefer the beach volleyball myself.
covah, I like DoA too, but it doesn't change the fact that they have some horrible balancing. Jann Lee is a spammer/n00b's dream; and in DoA3, Bayman could seriously fuck you up simply by doing one of his advanced counters, then doing about two ground throws in succession.
Gotta go with Novekaine on this one. DOA is the only fighting game I, a non-fighter gamer, can really play. And part of that really is because it's so unbalanced.

That said DOA 4 was the shit. Dunno what you're talking about.
PSTRIPELS SON!
@Novakaine

The thing about DoA though is if you actually spend time with the game you can thwart spammers easily by just figuring out which move they're doing and if its high, medium, or low. For example in DoA4 online there were SOOOO MANY people who used Hayabusa's torpedo attack (the one where he does a backflip then goes across the screen spinning into you) over and over again, but once you figured out that they were just doing that you could easily side step or counter their ass every time. The countering system is key in DoA, and thats why I like it above Tekken, Soul Claibur, etc.
