He came to town to save the Princess Zelda
Nincompoopery | 7:59 AM on 04.01.2008 7 comments

Link, masterful sword swinging, shield bashing, side strafing, bow wielding elf fisherman. Oh you adorable little elf with your green tights and wistful chapeau. How we love to endure your fantastic journey across hours of adventure and epic fights...

...we yearn for the thanks from the fair princess Zelda as you are declared hero time after time.

Out of all shenanigans and false plays, jokes and schemes, treacherous jests of early April day. This is by far the most endearing yet mildly upsetting...

That was very well produced even though nobody looked right (especially Zelda). Gohma looked great though.

Can't watch the movie, but nice System of a Down reference.

Oh good, now the fanboys will demand a Zelda movie.

@ Snaileb

Follow the link to IGN for the trailer I just grabbed their capture to use as visual stimulation.

Wow that was pretty well done, espeically with the runes changing to text. I'm impressed and now I want a Zelda movie.

sorry lightthrower.

Yeah, unfortunately this spoof trailer does make some pretty strong statements towards the potential of credibility of an actual film. Though we all know if they made it, it would suck.

The runes changing to text was really neat. Reminds me of National Treasure.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

I'm generally a nincompoop and by most standards an asshole. I'm too old to give a shit if I offend or hurt anyone's feelings.

I play video games, drink beer, spend time with my family and play video games.

Currently Playing:

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (360)
Pokemon Diamond
Rock Band (360)
World of Warcrack (AGAIN)

"Don't take life so seriously it isn't permanent."

Side Note: My former Gamer Tag for Xbox Live was "Nincompoopery" however MS screwed up with the regional setting edit options so I was forced to create a new gamer tag to be able to download songs for Rock Band. It's a long story and nobody gives a shit so as of March 2008 I am now ZOMBIE ZEALOT!
