Well, this week sure has turned out great. Nothing like being trapped inside all weekend because there's 10 inches of snow outside and no one's plowed the parking lot. At least it was plowed today so I could get to work, but hey, at least I got to stay inside and play some video games, especially new ones. And that, of course, is the signal that it's time for What'd You Get?, the weekly unofficial community feature where we talk about the games we all got this past week.
This week, Steam had an insane sale: the entire X-Com series on sale for $5. Naturally, you'd have to be stupid to pass this up, and not being stupid, I took advantage of the offer and now own the entire X-Com series of games. Which I will play once I'm done going through the buttload of other games I have to play through on Steam. Unfortunately, that might be a while.
Anyways, that's all I got this week. What'd you get?

I actually exercised self-restraint and did not pick up X-com. Sure, it was only $5 but that's how Steam sucks you in goddamnit.
I didn't purchase any new games, but I did download a Terranigma rom so I could finally play through it. This is a must for any retro gamer.
Also, FFVII
It's been haunting me since I was six years old and damn it I am going to finish it.
Last week I went down to my local game store and got that copy of Space Invaders Extreme that has been sitting on the shelf for almost a year. After reading Colette and Niero's reccomendation that that game is really awesome, I had to pick it up.
It's alright I guess.
But I can't stop playing Persona 4, even grinding on that game is fun. And I hate grinding!
PS3, MGS4, Flow, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, and Socom.

I technically got it last week, but Deus Ex: Invisible War on Steam cuz it was cheap.
I don't know if it counts, but I also have the fan translation of Persona 2: Innocent Sin on my PSP, and have been playing it sparingly.
Oh, Puzzle Quest and Metal Gear on my cell phone cuz they were cheap(and awesome).
Castlevania: Symphony of The Night and Psychonauts, thanks to 2 freshly-bought 1600 point XBLA cards. Having never played SOTN, it's now my favorite game, even though I want to take a big black dildo to every last Medusa Head and Flea Man that I see. Fuckers...
I preordered the limited edition of SF4 so I can kick your waterlovin' ass Nihon! Guile is going to kick Cammy's ass come this February.
Also, I got RE Degeneration and I want to stress DO NOT buy this. This is definitely a rental. It is too short for 20-30 bucks.
Does that make it worth ten aborto?
The voice "bloopers" are pretty funny for that RE movie though.
I forget if I mentioned FFVIII last week. But anyway, I got FFVIII.
I also got Space Invaders Extreme after last week's recommendations in the Games of the Week post. I think it's one of the best updates of a classic game ever, it stays really true to Space Invaders while adding a bunch of pinball- and modern shooter-inspired mechanics, as well as speeding up the game to make it more exciting. The way the music ties in Rez-style is also a big draw.
ReceivedWorld of Goo on WiiWare, it's fun and the music is great. Halfway through is when the difficulty really ramps up.
And I just found Kirby's Dream Land 2 and Kirby's Block Ball together on eBay yesterday for $14 shipped, which isn't terrible.

I got Persona 4 today and did nothing but play it. I've already gotten sucked into the game.
I picked up an EndWar bundle for the ps3 because it was on sale and I needed a bluetooth headset. Game actually isnt that bad either from little bit I have played.
I got Family Guy volume 6 (what a waste, fucking collective impulses) and picked up Ex Machina (highly recommended) and Batman: Arkham Asylum from the library.

I got snow as well! Got Forza 2 after being bugged by my friends, Kameo and changed my gamertag.

I bought Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery from a friend - 6 discs total for $20. I almost felt guilty. Almost.
I'm probably just going to trade IU on Goozex, because I've heard bad things. Lost Odyssey almost had me in tears last night, though. So fuckin' good.
I downloaded Socom for the PS3 and purchased a 12month + 1 card for XBL.
Also, I ordered my Pistol Grip for the Falcon Haptix doodad... I can't wait to play some Half-Life with it :D
I got a 160 GB hard drive for my PS2 for only $45! God damn!
