Oh, hi there. Didn’t see you enter. Anyways, welcome to my humble little blog. For those of you not familiar with who I am, the name’s Brian. I’m 24 years old and hail from Findlay, Ohio. I work at the local newspaper here as a copy editor, putting my four long years of college to actual use. Kind of. I think.
For those of you who might recognize me from elsewhere, I work as Assistant Gaming Editor over at Blogcritics Gaming and as Features Editor over at Tomopop. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it because I get to do a lot of cool shit with a lot of cool people.
I've been gaming since the relatively young age of around 3 and I've played plenty of games, both good and bad. I'm continuously expanding my gaming collection, which has become more of an archive in recent years as I'm focusing on collecting older, less well-known titles. You'd honestly be surprised on what people are missing out on in bargain bins...
Other than gaming, I love anime, manga, sports, movies, TV, and a whole lot more. I also happen to have something of a legendary love for Cammy, to the point that I am the site's unofficial official Cammy fanboy. And yes, I do play as her in Street Fighter and do so quite well, too.

Welcome to another edition of What'd You Get?, the weekly unofficial Dtoid feature where the community tells us what they got over the past week, and I have a feeling it's mostly going to be Rock Band 2 this week. As for what I got:
I somehow found out that Steam was giving some games away to Nvidia users, and considering my piece-of-shit computer is Nvidia powered, I decided to pick up my free games... which consisted of two Half Life add-ons, a Portal demo and Peggle Extreme. I have a fear that I will soon fall captive to Peggle and its evil ways. >.> <.< >.> Also, over the weekend, my parents picked up Wii Fit, and I have been giving that a go. The game somehow decided to determine that I am barely over the BMI score for a "not fat" person and that I should lose some weight. Thankfully, I didn't pick this up a few months back when I was 15 pounds heavier, or it might have called me names and told me to stop eating, you fat pig. Also, no Rock Band 2 just yet. Not until I can get back on Xbox Live and aren't forced to play alone. That's what I got this week. What'd you all get?

SFAC is kind of a redundant purchase for me; I already have Super Turbo and 3rd Strike on Dreamcast (as well as a not crappy version of the animated movie), but I couldn't resist the allure of Hyper SFII for $13. Now I just need to play against my friends some time, as the AI in both games totally rapes me...
I think it's funny.
God those english voiceovers are horrible though!
Game-wise, I got a shiny copy of Yakuza 2. It's even more awesome than the first game and I'm not even referring to keeping its original voice track. Just so many little touches here and there that really bring this brawler to life. I definitely recommend getting this one. I see it becoming harder-to-find game down the road and it does somewhat lengthy yet optional recap of the first game without those crappy dubs.
This week I'm expecting my preordered Kamina figure to come in. I'm so frigging excited!
