This is it, my friends. The purported new prototype sketches for Kid Icarus Wii, from none other than Factor 5, the people who had once shunned the Wii but made a U-turn when Lair bombed and they realized where the money was.
All I can say is if this is what the future holds for Kid Icarus... let it lie dormant. The Brawl re-design of Pit was fantastic... but this "mature" themed Pit? I don't know. I mean, the same kind of reboot worked for Link, but for Kid Icarus... it seems... out of place. He looks more like the Prince of Persia in some of these drawings than Pit.
And what of Palutena? Can we expect some blonde-haired, big-breasted goddess voiced by Pamela Anderson or something now?
Okay, maybe that's a bit too much, but really, I think a good model is already out there. Base it off the Smash Bros. Brawl model, which seems to be a popular choice amongst the story's comments, and leave it at that. I have a feeling once Factor 5 takes care of making sure the design doesn't suck, they'll fall back into place. One flop hasn't caused me to doubt them just yet.

I say Bravo to Factor 5 for taking a risk even if most of the risks look really stupid.

Cowzilla: Most of the times I hear people complaining about Nintendo rehashing, they're talking about the gameplay, not the characters. They want new ways to play the games; not new characters.

Usually when you toss somebody out, you don't let them keep godly weapons.
