NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Yes, it is Hiroshi Yamauchi, who apparently has become insanely rich off the part of Nintendo he still owns. Yamauchi, formerly Japan's third-richest man for the same reason, has jumped to the top of Forbes' list of Japan's 40 richest people. Obviously, it's the Wii and DS' success that has pushed the former CEO to the top of the list, but I wonder how much longer he'll stay there.
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Yamauchi. I still happen to think he's got a lot of sway in Nintendo's recent actions (explaining why they're making so many stupid mistakes like in the old days) and I feel like he both dropped the ball on the Gamecube and helped hold Nintendo back for so many years while everyone else ran past them. Now they're trying to catch up, and it's half-working.
I really don't know if to salute him or flip him the finger, so I guess I'll just leave it be for now.

Also, mistakes, NihonTiger? They may not be catering to you and I at this point, but from a business standpoint they have made very few mistakes. IF he was still in control in any way, we probably wouldn't even have the internet on the Wii.
He fails like that.
