Oh, hi there. Didn’t see you enter. Anyways, welcome to my humble little blog. For those of you not familiar with who I am, the name’s Brian. I’m 24 years old and hail from Findlay, Ohio. I work at the local newspaper here as a copy editor, putting my four long years of college to actual use. Kind of. I think.
For those of you who might recognize me from elsewhere, I work as Assistant Gaming Editor over at Blogcritics Gaming and as Features Editor over at Tomopop. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it because I get to do a lot of cool shit with a lot of cool people.
I've been gaming since the relatively young age of around 3 and I've played plenty of games, both good and bad. I'm continuously expanding my gaming collection, which has become more of an archive in recent years as I'm focusing on collecting older, less well-known titles. You'd honestly be surprised on what people are missing out on in bargain bins...
Other than gaming, I love anime, manga, sports, movies, TV, and a whole lot more. I also happen to have something of a legendary love for Cammy, to the point that I am the site's unofficial official Cammy fanboy. And yes, I do play as her in Street Fighter and do so quite well, too.
Also, I am Chad Concelmo's B.F.F., my prize for coming in first in The Great Retro Quiz .18 - ActRaiser. Accept no substitutes. Not even Aerox.

(Yes, that’s one of Dtoid’s own, Hollie (a.k.a. phoenix-blood). I met her at PAX and she is awesome.)
... is that the music is so damn good, it makes me want more franchises to start showing
up on the Wii. And the fact that they're not announced is driving me nuts.
For example, take a listen to some of the re-mxed F-Zero tunes on the Web:
OK, did you hear that? Specifically, did you hear the new Mute City, Fire Field and White
Land remixes? I keep listening to them as if they're crack for my ears, and every time I
hear them, I want a F-Zero Wii title that much more.
Now, I've been demanding one for quite some time and threatening to toss my Wii out a
window if I don't get one (no, not really, but you understand the point), and the fact that
nothing has been announced concerning a new F-Zero has made me uneasy. Especially
considering that the Wii lacks any solid racing titles outside of Excite Truck, and that was a
launch game. My Xbox 360 has been getting more love recently because I have racing
games on there I can play like Burnout Paradise and Forza 2, and that's what I have been
doing. There's also CoD4, Halo 3 and The Orange Box, but that's another story for another
time.
F-Zero isn't the only one, though. I've been waiting for a proper Star Fox title on the Wii to
be announced, and again, no news on it. Now, like F-Zero, I'm expecting one will
eventually make it to the Wii, but the damn wait is killing me! And after hearing the
remixed Space Armada theme from the original Star Fox, it's only gotten worse. The music
alone fills my mind with wonderful images.
Kirby, Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus... same story for them. Their Smash Bros. Brawl songs
make me want new incarnations of each so badly. I'm literally at the point where this
game is both exciting me and driving me nuts because I'm beginning to realize that
Nintendo hasn't thrown some of their bigger franchises out there. And to be honest, I'm
worried that the Wii's turn towards the casual crowd will mean that we don't get a new F-
Zero or Star Fox or Kid Icarus anytime soon. I hope my worries are completely unfounded
though.
I don't know if anyone else is going through the same thing I am, but if you are, let me
know I'm not alone. Hopefully Smash Bros. Brawl is the start of many great things for the
Wii, and hopefully I'll get my F-Zero Wii with 30 player online races.
And Nintendo couldn't be arsed to make an F-Zero or a Star Fox for Gamecube, they outsourced those to Sega and Namco, with mixed results. I'd say the N64 versions of both those games were superior to their GC counterparts.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Pretty cool tunes, I really like video games tunes all 8bit goodness!
Golden Sun theme in Brawl is the sex. For real.
